Reality is many SPL teams fight, defend and totally pack the pitch behind the ball and its very very hard to do anything about. We have done this many times to CL teams who are far better than us. ]For several years now SPL teams will rather play for a 0-0 than open up at all. Its just the norm. High scoring games are very very rare with the odd freak exception. Personally I think we need to have goen long ball early because there was no way we were going to pass through them.

For all the anti-WGS squad blame the players for not finding tiop gear. We had a lot of good players on today, lots of internationals. Its up to them to perform.

I'm not part of the anti-Strachan brigade, I like him, but there really is no excuse for this sub. It is * management at it's 'finest' (?).

Like I said in the other thread, bringing an attacking player on is only an attacking sub if you're taking off a defensive player. Subbing off a superior striker is a step backwards.

No, its Strachans careless subs that he makes. The guys dumbness comes out in situations like this. Take the Aalborg game for example. He brang Shaun Maloney on with 2 minutes to go.

 

Think bit of an over reaction but agree with pub side thing bar a couple players. Mind you hard to get ball down and pass when they hit anything above ground level and dont even get a foul called against them.
The performance was shocking but so was the refs, didnt help.
Lee Naylor is a pub player, sammy jvoh and mcdonald among others looked like pub players who we know are capable of better.
Teams fitness was appauling as per usual.
We need to playcrosas from the start he is only player capable of passing the football in the team.

 

Sheridan was brought on so we could play route one football, as the game seemed to pass our midfield by today, so we resorted to the long ball approach.
The team looks dead on its feet, at least this time last year Hinkel & Robson came in to give us some freshness.
Part of the problem seems to be WGS has his favourites & they play more often than not. We have plenty of options in midfield, but lack strength & depth up front and at the back.
We need to stop giving the Huns chances to come back into the title race, definetly need to beat them at CP now, a draw is no use.
