As far as I'm concerned, McLean didn't want to give it, and has bottled out of it by agreeing with the goal line official, even though he himself saw the handball.

I've always been of the opinion that when there is a ref on the park who is willing to cheat, then he will more often than not make split decisions on how he wants the decision to go. It's like his own natural instincts take over rather than following the rules of the game.

There is no clearer example of this than yesterday.

He couldn't be placed any better if you photoshopped him into the image yourself. He had a clear view with no obstructions. He chose not to give the penalty and automatic red card for his own reasons.

Aye, agree with this completely. There is no explanation as to why he didn't give it, other than he is a cheat. He had a clear view of the incident, so the only reason for him not to award a penalty, is that he has deliberately cheated.

Have to admit, I would have assumed one of them had saw it, but I can't recall seeing an angle from the ref's perspective.

Fair-do's I couldn't bare to watch last nights Sportscene so maybe on that, but I can't recall seeing it from another position to see how McLean was positioned?

    I'm not picky.
Both officials had a clear view of it

How that couldn't be spotted by two of them...even possibly the linesman of that far side as well...is beyond me.

Nonsense. That was as clear a penalty as you could see as well. The guy blatantly tripped Forrest. It's bad to be * out of one penalty, but two?

Forrest wasnt a penalty for me. He slipped it looked like.

That was blatant cheating for the hand ball though. Hope something really bad happens to those two.

It's going to be a 'fantastic' spectacle when they have less than 10,000 in that stadium.
They'd be better off re-scheduling it for Perth, at least it would be half-way and they might have a half-chance of filling that ..................

Could the Inverness player still get the ban? not that it makes a jot of difference to us

Just watched it again on Celtic TV there and for me it's a penalty. Forrest seemed to possibly slip just AS Christie's left leg made contact with Forrest's right one.

Just a pity McLean didn't take his own advice from this interview he gave a couple of years ago regarding handball  (this clip was posted a few pages ago by someone)
