Disappointing but a bit of an over reaction from some on here I think.

Firstly, as I said before the game, I think many celtic fans were getting ahead of themselves expecting 5 and 6 nil thrashings. Our recent home results have been pretty consistent but hardly spectacular and its tough to spank teams who are happy to sit in for the whole game. Rangers were always going to be up for this and they played a sensible game plan. They got stuck in, they roughed up the midfield, and they got men behind the ball.

Besides maybe brown, I thought our players werent up for a fight. They didnt like the attention and they struggled with the lack of time they were given. A few also seemed to shrink away from involvement after they took a hard tackle or two. Their passing was also very poor today and they got into trouble too many times trying to pass from the back. A draw was a fair result.

But that was celtic at their worst in a long time and many are gutted that we drew against rangers in a game that really wasnt significant. It shows how far celtic have come. It might just be a bit of a wake up call in time for the semi next month. It might also be an excuse to rest a few players and give others a go.

Given the season I think it is hard to be so critical. And you have to laugh at what it means to rangers fans to watch their team play punt and rush football to scrape a draw against celtic. That shows the gap as much as anything

All in all I dont think we should be too disappointed.

Surprised nobody has bumped the Lustig thread. Time for Gamboa to get a run in my opinion.

They were aggressive and we not. Important to put in a tackle in this type of games but the bhoys was way to passive in physical battles.

Me and my da arrived early as * around half 10 and place was pretty empty. Walking up that quiet street heading up towards the forge market/bingo and there was about 150-200 of them heading towards Westmuir street, if we were 5 mins early we would have probably been another statistic!:56:

Supposedly they attacked a few punters at the bookies and had a tussle with some police at Westmuir st.
Police ended up kettling them just up from the crossing at five ways pub, after blocking Celtic fans from heading up to the ground. The usual from them shouting abuse and singing * etc when they were kettled. All sorts of riot vans and police were there, christ knows why they even wanted to try it

Of course but they should definitely be bringing their A game against those *.

Even if they're languishing at the bottom of the table i want to see potential league winning performances against the scum.

So after today. Now they are a better team than Celtic. We should get some good odds for the win in the cup semi

Maybe one good thing about the sh*te performance today is that it should flush away the arrogance that has started to creep into some fans and Celtic-minded pundits. This was never going to be a walkover and cretins like McAvennie talking of 8 goal victories only ensures they will try extra hard against us. I detest arrogance in any form and it's not what Celtic are about. This is a good Celtic team which can get even better but only through hard-work, dedication and concentration. Apart from Broonie, Armo, KT and Gordon we didn't turn up today and they scraped a draw by pure effort(and also brother Madden but that's a different story).

    Good summary mate.

The result has given them another doze of confidence and let them have it. I'd rather we were below par today and learned from it than to go out at rhe semis once again.

We were at our worst today in a long, long time. As you say, it tells a lot tjat they have to scrape a draw with us even when we are playing that badly. Just like they could only beat us on pens last season when we were at our worst for years.

I'm not even being sour here either, it is just the truth. They now feel they can beat us going into next month. We could have the league won in 3 weeks time, giving us plenty of time to focus on that game at Hampden.

Noone will remember today come the end of the season. It's not even a defeat ffs.
