What the * was Charlie Mulgrew doing at their penalty? There was no need whatsoever to pull the guy back and if you're going to pull him back then do it before he gets into the box.

    Plum.

First half performance was as good as we've played since the victorious huns game. Second half was quite poor however that's the job done as we are back where we belong.

A great first performance in the first half but we slackened off in the second, having said that, we did play some brilliant stuff and the link up play between hooper and stokes was fantastic to watch.

I thought kayal thoroughly deserved his motm award and along with izaguirre, is definitely a candidate for player of the season even though he missed such a long period of it through injury. :icon_mrgreen:

Good win. Shame Hooper didn't get a hat trick but just good to see the Bhoys back in action again.

    Just in from the game.

Brilliant first half performance by Celtic only players lacking around is glenda and broony they both look to slow and so obvious only thing good about glenda is his headering, played the wings outstandingly Forrest outpacing the hibs right back 9 times out of 10 total brilliance same gos to Izzy. That right centre half for hibs always got the ball away when we were hitting low balls into the box :47: Stokes needs to put more effort in its like he's not match fit.. Kayal best player we have imo soaking up every challenge and passing and vision outstanding.

Second half very poor we let hibs take us, it was like we never wanted to score again, passing died just looked so sluggish. I can't remember who gave away the penalty but it looked very stupid think it was Mulgrew. Hooper should had scored his second penalty never mind hit the target!

Overall first half we look like we can beat the filth at mordor, second half performance is so dire no hunger.

3 points in the bag, back top, we shall not be moved.

    Celtic 3 Hibs 1.
Scottish fitba is at a very low ebb as most people know, and Celtic got three points to once again go ahead of Rangers to the top of the SPL arguably a third rate league.
I am losing count of the games Celtic dominate yet during the game I see quality that is absolutely wanting in other words not there, against Rangers I believe it was the CIS Final it was an even first half, but the second half Celtic were poor to say the least, not that Rangers are all that, because they aint.
Against Hibs, Celtic were leading 3-0 at halftime, what the * happened, Hibs got the only goal in the second half and they are a typical SPL team poor at best.
Watching Celtic these days I genuinely feel in a lot of games at the end of the play as though I have lost something, even when Celtic win the three points.
Will I keep watching the games, yes.
I notice the official Celtic site give Izaguirre MOTM, much as I am fan of his, I thought our two best players were Wilson and Stokes. :50:<!-- edit note -->

    I agree with the above.

Some of our passing in the first half was absolutely superb. After the huns winning against St.Johnstone, I was really pleased with the reaction of our players under a little pressure.

Our players looked really hungry tonight, the work-rate was fantastic.

Got to mention Kayal as well, he turned in another amazing performance.

There's no question that when our team is firing on all cylinders there is not a team in the SPL that can live with us.

The speed and quality of some of our passing and movement is way too hot for SPL defences to handle. What we have to find now is consistency and to keep things solid at the back. If we can do that then the title WILL be coming home.

Terrific first half performance. Straight out and at it and a nice early goal from Stokesy is just what we needed. :icon_mrgreen: Nice to see him and Hooper back, playing together and banging in the goals. The work rate tonight was fantastic, especially from Kayal who was just buzzin about all over the place. Really, really special player. Izaguirre, Forrest played quite well together down that left hand side too. Nice to see Ljungberg get some time on the pitch too.

Job done. Three points in the bag and top of the league. Roll on Saturday now. :shamrock:

to be fair to the guy jeannie brown was pretty poor in that match today so for that match he had a certain right for a bit of abuse i know i was a little bit. It was classic celtic for periods in the second half but i guess the job was done and dusted in the first half.

This stuff about conserving energy etc.. a professional football player should be able to play 3 games a week easily so im not going to take that as an excuse to take the foot off the peddle when we could have humped hibs 5 or 6 nil.
