Now that the fall outs cleared from last night and we all wait for the big draw tonight what do we think of the prospect of some new signings to strengthen the squad for the the group stages.I was watchin the match thru the playstation on firstrowsports with American commentary. The talk was mostly inferring that we would have to rely on our home grown you lads to give a good account of them selves in the group stages due to financial restrictions. As much as in agree about cultivating our own home grown talent i still believe we need to speculate in order to accumulate and hope we make some waves in the transfer market while we can to strengthen the squad.

Hope we get Porto in our group for no better reason than the brother in law is a mad fan.Would love to see us turn them over home AND away!!!

Had a look through the last few pages and the thing about the attendance. Nae way in the * world were there 9,000 empty seats. The gaps in the front are because of the advertising boards and bar this and the segregation of fans, the only gap I saw was in the far corner between the Main stand and Jock Stein.

Anyway as for the game, we played well but I think can play much better. Struggled with possession in the 1st half and slightly better 2nd half. Thought at the time the goal was onside and having seen the replay I still say it is. The noise from the crowd was good and even if it was quiet at times, the significance of the situation played a huge part(the elation after the Wanyama goal was unreal).

As was mentioned earlier not a fault in the application by all in the hoops last night and even better to see youngsters like Forrest and Watt(even in his short spell) looking more than capable in the environment.

Roll on the draw and couldn`t care less who we get; just being there is a great achievement.

Wow what a great feeling it is now to be through to the Champions League Group stages. Crucial too I think for this teams progression and for the season ahead that we achieved this stage in the Champions League.

I though we were a bit nervy in our play in the first half but having said that it never looked like we were in any danger of getting beaten. The Hooper goal was obviously offside but the build up play from the corner was excellent and overall we very much were the better team on the night. Deserved the win on the night and hopefully this will be a real confidence booster for the team.

I was particuarly impressed with Kelvin Wilson. I though he was excellent at the back which is great to see given our issues there in recent seasons. Hopefully he is finding his form and getting really settled in now at Celtic. Samaras was man of the match for me. He really is so much better when he plays wide left and can really run at defenders. Good performances all over from the rest of the team and another impressive appearance from Tony Watt when he came on as well.
