    Our teams average age in the 1st leg was 24.8
    Does anyone know what it was tonight, and how it compares to the other teams in qualifying????

    Big Wilson was a rock tonight and it was great to see after sticking up for him a few times on here hopefully his Celtic career can kick on from here and he gets back to the form he showed at Forrest

    Sorry mate, I think I've come across wrong, Strachan did just as well if not better than M'ON did in Europe.

    I just mean that in terms of evidence of the quality of our squad, i.e larsson,sutton, lubo petrov vs mcdonald, jvoh, naka, was more obvious for me in the M'ON era, hence expecting more in europe.

    Strachan did alot with not as good a team as M'ON had, hence you can see why pre-CL group stages, your average celtic fan would not be as excited to see the two teams on paper in comparison.

    Which comes to my point about this teams performances, I believe that this seasons team has proven that they can play in europe, and get results away, very exciting IMO

    Fair play to them though. They were a good team. Could have been very different if they had taken their chances in the 1st leg when they did outplay us. If ever there was an Atlantic league I would be happy to play teams of that sort of quality week in and out. They must have a good coach because they play some very good passing. OK they crumbled a bit but I have a lot of respect for them. If they had been in the SPL the last few years they might have won it.

    Fair enough mate. I do agree that WGS had poorer players on average than either MON or Lenny which makes it even more incredible. But I take your point. This team could be amazing if we hold of selling for a few more years. The best use of the CL money IMO would be keeping all out good current players. They are young and will get better and better.

    Big Kelvin was magnificent. Samaras MOTM. Brown and Wanyama were excellent. Forrest was very good. Commons was okay and the wing backs were a small bit dodgy but nothing too untoward. Fraser was very good too.

    I thought there fans were brilliant there was a good bit of banter between us and them. I thought it might just be a larrson love fest but they helped create a great atmosphere

    I was jesting mate, have no problems with their fans at all just alluding to the fact there was a few on here last week saying our fans were poor etc.
    Couldn't really hear their fans tonight atmosphere was unbelievable
