Really worried about this game as any more points dropped will only give the huns confidence. We have to be honest and admit that we haven't been playing great since the Leipzig game and I'm beginning to get same vibes I had when the huns turned around an eight point deficit and we ended up losing the league on the last day to Motherwell. I hope I'm totally wrong (I often are) and we get our form back and Saturday would be a good day to start

We're 1/1000 to win the title and you're worried? :giggle1: It's effectively a 14 point gap with our GD, almost impossible for that to happen. Also, we were 5 points clear of the liquidated Rangers in 2005, not 8.

I'm always worried m8. I think I'm still mentally scarred by the events of that final days' events (spending an overnight stay in a police station didn't help but that's another story). I always thought it was an 8pt turn around but I'm sure you're right Gaz.

It's been a torrid time since that unsavoury result against our nearest rivals, those degenerates from across the city, that plague not only our league but our city and our lives. If the result was by any other team it would still have been a sore one to take but for it have been more tolerable. The international break couldn't have come at a worse time for some of us fans. The league down time following a defeat (especially that one, like that!) plays heavy in our mindset making every doubt come to the fore. Every negative aspect is magnified as we search for reasons and analyse every aspect of our recent results, have we become too complacent? Have other teams sussed us out? Is Brendan too egotistical to change his playing style? Is our team too weak physically? Why was Dire-mondo still on the pitch? Everything is called into question. With little, or to nothing, to distract our minds we become engulfed in our own frustrations. We all no doubt we all have gained pounds from eating immeasurable amounts of humble pie rammed down our throats from the gloating 'Golems' that have returned from under whichever rock they have been dwelling under to enjoy the 'bragging' rites bestowed upon them. ( Sorry, do I sound bitter? good... I am).
A return to winning ways will alleviate some apprehension for reaching the required wins to clench another league title, but it cannot come soon enough. The wait for the conclusion of the season appears to be longer now than before. Even a deep breath and a close inspection to the table does nothing to appease me. Knowing our massive points difference and the number of points needed to make it mathematically impossible not to become 'Champions' again has no effects emotionally, my logic abandons me as I scour the 'could win', 'should win' fixtures left, in my imagination. I tell myself to 'get a grip man' yet I still become overwhelmed by the 'what if's', by the possibility of a disastrous run of fortune. Why has this happened? Because I am usually so level headed, so composed, so confident in our teams dominance, so assured in our performances and so certain of our success. I'll tell you why, because we had a poxy couple of friggin' international games causing me to dwell on a crappy outcome against a vile existence that has no right to infect the sanctity of 'Paradise', let alone win there! That's why!
Common sense prevailing states we need four wins for everything to become rosy again definitively. That's four from eight, or half our games, 12 points. Factor in single point drawn games or heaven forbid loses and once again the apprehension grows. Then re-apply some sanity, it's all based on, and not only, what we do, but what about the results from the horde, I mean, you really believe they can go on and not drop any points until the end of the season? Doubtful, and I know it shouldn't and doesn't depend on results elsewhere but equally all factors have to be considered, whether they have effects or not on our position. It's a nightmare.
In summary I can conclude that a win on Saturday is not only owed to us, but demanded by us. It's time to have our anxiety quashed, our blood pressure under control and quiet confidence to be reinstated. It has been a long time in the waiting, get the game done, dusted and scratched off with a satisfactory result. Then we can replace it with fretting on the three wins from seven syndrome...o_O. Etc, etc...
We WILL win the league, We SHOULD win the treble but this absence of league matches at this time has been brutal mentally and some have paid heavily because of it.

More confident for a win now than I was earlier in the week. Defensively a good solid performance needed, let Sinisalo have little or nothing to do....All hands to the pump Bhoys.
