Lol. I do that too once I get tired of tinkering about. 3/4 of a season is usually on full auto-pilot. But to be fair to Ronny, Celtic created more than enough clear cut chances during the 90 min. to comfortably win this match. Bit of a freak-result today in terms of balance of play, which was extremely one-sided throughout the entire match.

Lets forget about stats for one second please. His all round play is rubbish. He isn't intelligent enough, his first touch is a slide tackle and he doesn't create any chances. He's not strong, not particularly fast either and top of that, he misses about 3 sitters a game.

He does have a decent dig on him but the amount of chances he misses is not on. The team creates soooooooooo many opportunities for him, its not an achievement to score 10 goals for Celtic imo, especially when you consider the amount he * up.

I know he works hard yadayadayada, but he's not Celtic standard

So drawing today is his fault and his alone.:smiley-laughing002:

I didn't know he and he alone had the 24 chances on goal.

Of course you like yours better, because you don't like a world where a fan can criticise the team, can you? It's no coincidence that several fans are arguing with you.

Actually you'll find that goals to game ratio IS where it's at. Every good strikers has his goals to game ratio brought up, In fact that's potentially ALL that matters.

The fact he doesn't meet your wee constructed idea of "success" is neither here nor there. Whinge and * cry all you want, but Griff has been absolutely fantastic for us this season and I am looking forward to his next barrage of goals throughout the season - as much as that must pain you as you angrily count up his "chances" in your wee * red book. :bbpd:

If you are talking celtic standard then i would keep.....3 or 4 out of the whole club.

Do we * everyone else off...or is it just griff.

Off to make dinner for the young 'uns guys. Glad we are two points closer to the top than at 3 oclock. Feeling the love for the wee Griffbomb and looking forward to the next match.

Pretty glad I get to the games and don't usually have to suffer through a bunch of angry wee laddies spewing out hatred anonymously on the internet regarding our team. I'll just get on with supporting them, although you must be spitting mad.

Have a great night, haters :56:

He did change formation when Ciftci came on if you didn't notice. When you havé offensive backs like Izzy and Lustig of course you should use them. The problem was that neither Izzy or Lustig made great crosses. Almost all of them went to the other side of the 16m instead of trying to make hard crosses on the ground in front of goal.
The problem in this game wasn't the formation at all, but the lack of end product. Had they done their job they would have won comfortably with all those big chances.

So...does anyone know where I can find the goals-to-chance ratio for Lee Griffiths (and other strikers)? Would be interesting to compare. Oh, and I agree that's an important stat (probably more so than goals-to-games ratio).

You people are pathetic, how you can think a draw today was acceptable, squandered 3 clear cut chances in the first half but it's fine... Wake up and get angry mother *! Unacceptable result and it is down to our finishing in front of goal and griffiths has to take the blame for that he squanders so many chances.

Interplay between two central strikers is what we need to do when playing against blanket defenses. It's so obvious but we are married to a formation that does not suit certain games in this league.

Actually enjoyed that game today, good crowd, good atmosphere and a difficult game. Thought we played well ourselves but Hearts defended really well too and made it difficult. Ref was shocking though only giving about 7 yards at freekicks and letting Paterson batter Forrest into the stand at will.
