Just listened to the game on the radio. It seems that a pretty soft penalty was awarded and then saved by our keeper. We dominated most of the game but had trouble putting it in the net. Wanyama was a main influence again and even scored. I was on the wrack though for 80 mins. Can we please start disposing of teams quicker. I want to see 2-0 before half time. Easy for me to say I know. But I liked that the spirit was there to grind out a result and get the points.

Samaras was good. Gave us some drive down the left and let us mix it up with the odd switched ball onto his napper. SPL full backs seem to be scared of the big man running at them.

Forrest was poor but kept on trying.

Stokes looked *. Hard to tell on a * stream as you can't gauge a lot of off-the-ball work like you can at the stadium but he looked poor. Kept doubling back on himself when he should have driven on and it caused some attacks to fizzle out.

Aye,i must admit this thought did enter my head.

 

It really surprises me to think a team would play out of their skin against us and then lie down against our main rivals. Aside from any legal challenges of unfair competition it seems a bit pathetic that teams would play at different levels of performance for some reason other than what they were capable of at that time. That would be against sporting ethics.

gotta admit it's odd. We expect it now though so no surprises.

he was dreadful in the first half but I thought he played well in the second, should have had two assists today with the quality deliveries he gave to Hooper and then Stokes. In the last couple of games I've noticed a reluctance to take on his man, he passes far more often than he should. Lenny should get in his ear and tell him to attack his man with pace because when he does he is near unstoppable.

 

I will be keeping my eye on Hearts in the coming weeks.I actually complemented them on their performance earlier on in this thread.They certainly had the bit between their teeth today. I just hope they can keep that level of effort up against others especially Rangers who i'd like to see drop points.
I don't think they lie down to Rangers or anybody else for that matter but just maybe with the bad blood between our clubs in recent times maybe their drive to get one over us boosted their energy levels.
Who knows?
They certainly fought tooth & nail over the 90mins this afternoon.
