fair enough there is a lot of potential. Hooper I am convinced is a top top player. Opinion on Stokes changes every 2 or 3 weeks because his form is up and down so I reserve judgement on him. As for technically, Hooper has the edge on Skippy in technique but it will be a while till he proves he is as good a big game player.

As for Stokes v JVOH. Totally different players but Stokes is nothing like as highly regarded a player with a glittering CV with us and in Holland as JVOH. His last crocked season has made a lot of people forget how good he was. He was as a European class target man of a level we wouldnt be able to afford today. he is exactly the sort of player we are lacking in the squad right now as an option. Murphy is more Killen level than JVOH level.

Our game plan worked a treat. The very strong midfield of

    Forrest Brown Kayal Ledley
completely dominated the midfield, and negated Hearts. Upfront Hooper and Stokesy ran amok, what a deadly partnership these two are turning out to be.That is us unbeaten in eleven games now, and another clean sheet for Fraser Forster. For *'s sake Peter
    sign this boy up.

I am going to stick my neck out and say we will win the league this year.

Stokes will always score more goals than Hesselink, I don't think the big man was ever used right for us and he gave us some big moments but I think there is more goals in Hooper and Stokes.

Hesselink is comparable to Samaras, when they both played for us nobody knew who was better.

Again, Stokes is young and has much to go. But for me that is a positive. When playing beside a regular partner(Hooper), Stoke's quality shines through as opposed to when he is forced to play the lone ranger. For me, Hesselink was about as mobile as a sunken battleship. And, although he brought experience to the game and linked up incredibly well with McDonald, I feel the skill and energy of Stokes to Hooper's battering-ram and postional play are far more valuable than anything Skip and Hess had to offer:50:

Holy * how can that possibly only be a booking? 2 footed jump into him when he was on the ground?? And Ledley got send off for a perfectly fair, if a little hard, tackle on him at Tynecastle. Wish he'd broken the * leg.

Really pleased with that tonight. Hard to find fault right through the team.

Back 4 strolled it, Forrest got a goal, Kayal immense, Ledley done his bit and yeah OK, Broon played pretty well, there, I * said it! :icon_mrgreen:

Hooper worked hard for little reward, Stokes had his best game in the hoops and Paddy comes on and gets his goal.

Hard to pick a MOTM, but I would go for Mulgrew at the back. So often the fall guy earlier in the season, credit when it's due, well played son! :50:

Great win played well , Mulgrew done well but wasnt exactly up v much Kyle would have tore him apart.

Hooper and stokes link up play is top class loving watching these lads just now.

Should have and could have scored more massive 3points and more goals ahead of the dob .

Brown i normally slate him but he was outstanding tonight and its good to see the real scott brown for a change.

Great goal from paddy but apart from his goal i thought he was pish .
