Just back from the game and have to say I was delighted with the score and a much improved overall team performance.

Couple of heart in mouth moments when they hit the bar and had the penalty but those aside thought we kept things in the main simple and had a more direct approach. Prior to Guidetti's goal we should have scored with Stokes's effort worthy of a goal.

Throughout it was great to see Stokes and Izzy linking up so well down the left side and Brown making sure everyone played their role. All three could have taken MOM.

Efe had a much better game than usual although i'd still prefer to see Lustig or Matthews back in that position.

Still room for a lot of improvement and early days but hopefully we are starting to get there. Ronny has to stick to his strongest XI and none of the mass rotations every week.

Roll on Saturday and then a long wait until we play Zagreb.

Just seen we have Thistle in the next round so have to be happy with a home draw.
