Also disagree mate, I could hardly concentrate because he was dribbling so much. I don't remember anything positive coming from him. Even your example was very grudgingly given because he had to say something.

I didn't see the first half, was denayer taken out due to a bad performance or did he pick up an injury?

Delighted with that. Stokes and Izzy stand outs for me.

Tonight wasn't a great performance but we did the most important thing and got the goals and won. I really hope we can build on this.

Only saw the second half. Decent performance.

Brown and Izzy played well (minus that ridiculous shot at the end). Delighted that Guidetti scored. Scepovic looked good when he came on, was more involved than before and had some nice touches/passes. Would have scored if Tonev wasn't in the way - he continues to look awful.

Felt sorry for Scepovic, though. What looked like a certain goal was * up by Tonev and Izzy should have squared it to Scep but shot instead.

Great result, though. Happy for Ronny.

I actually enjoyed that match. I found we were more combative. We had a couple of shaky moments in defence and a couple of stray passes but I was happier with the way we played. We missed Broony in the middle and thank * he's back as he's the engine of the team. Did anyone notice how some players were much sharper? I couldn't believe Stokes movement. He's still a bit of crappy striker...I don't know if somethings not right with his head in that dept but he certainly looked fitter tonight and only got caught offside once! Efe wasn't that bad but I do close my eyes at times when he has the ball :icon_mrgreen: Emilio was great bombing up and down and terrorizing their defence. Yep I never read through this thread but that was my take on it. :celt_2:

No discipline In this team , this could have been a disaster for us tonight , took us to long to gain control of the game although stokes and Emilio have something down the left side that we can build on ,

Happy with the performance the night, still look a bit shaky in defence, but we skelped them 3-0 and that to me is always a positive.

Enjoyed that match - was much better than I expected.

Players seemed to gel more and played with more confidence. Hearts were no pushovers either and that forced us to actually play as well, rather than go through the motions and * up. (Hearts were unlucky to be relegated last season and put in a very good shift tonight. Sow in particular was excellent.)

Izzy was outstanding, and definitely deserved to be MOTM - it was like we had the old Izzy back. Guidetti's goal was a beauty too.

Hearts' penalty was dubious and it was justice when it was Seboed.

All in all a very promising performance and a sense of optimism for the matches ahead.
