Rest players; when has that ever actually worked for us?
It put us out a cup last season, we dropped points to motherwell not so long ago because of it. A quick glance at the league table and there's nothing in it other than games in hand, this is supposed to be a game we capitalize on, not * about with. You're right, if we all have your attitude then we don't deserve to be scottish champions.

Earlier in the season when we "rested" players we got played off the park by Inverness but I suppose things have changed since then and we have a stronger squad.

Wouldn't mind this team or a team like it, but I fear we would be underestimating/disrespecting Hamilton a bit, after all, they did beat us in this fixture not too long ago.

We do need to rest players though.

There's always gonna be debate but I think resting players within reason is a good idea. Not even just for the sake of resting them but to give the others a chance. E.g. This could be a good game for Wakaso and Forrest to get some game time and try prove themselves. I think Guidetti should start so (as someone already said) he can keep the momentum going and get some good practise in for Thursday. I don't think Hamilton should be underestimated but I think we should go into this game expecting to win whatever squad we use. I say start a pretty strong line up, maybe rest 3 who were playing Thursday and then depends on how the game goes, use all 3 subs depending on whether we're winning and look in the clear. I think it would be madness to play our strongest line-up and this is a PRIME time to give some of the guys who have been left out recently a chance to shine HH

I agree with this team. I'd also whip Virgil, Bitton and Guidetti off after an hour if we have a 2-goal lead.

The team doesn't just need rested for Inter. Aberdeen is a big game in this title race.

Agree, the league is must. Anything we take from Europe is a bonus but the Inter game is not a 'must win'

I'd like to see us rest a * load of those who ran their guts out on Thursday & will need to do so again, after flying out to Italy in a day or so.

It's a big squad, we need to see what the others have got in the tank - Hamilton have dropped a level or 2 since losing their manager & a couple of their better players.

We're at home on a good pitch, no excuses. Sure Aberdeen are doing well to keep picking up the points, but we need lots of energy to progress against Inter & our backup players should be bursting a gut to impress.

    ------------Gordon
    Ambrose--Denayer--VVD--Wakaso
    -------Henderson--Biton
    McGregor--Commons--Tonev
    ------------Guidetti

If Forrest is fit give him a go.

    Any win will do.

Will there still be a stream even if it's not on TV?

I would rather start the game with 10men than give Tonev a run out

We certainly shouldn't be resting players on mass, its never worked for us in the past and we cant afford to drop points in the league.

Would rest the front 4 n keep them fresh for Milan and have Ambrose in for Matthews to give him a rest too. Its mad because the 4 forward players I have put in are established players who have every right to play in Milan also. Building a strong team here!
