In what way shape or form is this a must win game? A must win game is one you cannot afford to draw or lose under any circumstances.

The sheep are keeping the pressure on thats for sure. Tomorrow is a must win and we absolutely have to beat them next weekend. We have a heap of games coming up and a slip up is due, so we have to put distance between us and them. Win our next 3 league games and it's over.

Should be pretty obvious ? Aberdeen level on points with us and improving their GD, though we have two games in hand.Next week's game with Aberdeen is a six pointer IMO, and their run of form is very worrying.
    Obvious No ?

If we draw or lose this game we will almost certainly lose the league?

If we draw or lose we'll still still be top of the league with a game in hand. The Aberdeen game is a 'must not lose' game. For Aberdeen.

Hate when people overuse the term 'must win'.

It is a must win though. If we dont win it then we could go second next Sunday

There is definite momentum and a feel good factor going on at CP right now. We should win even with three or four changes. Would like to see Henderson and Forrest get a start. Possibly Guidetti due a start. Would be harsh on Griffiths but we do have a busy week(s) and we have the squad

    Gordon
    Fisher VVD Denayer Izzy
    Brown Wakaso
    Forrest Johansen Gms
    Guidetti

Think with this team we still have a good mix of fig craft and pace. Would really like to see GMS and Forrest on opposing wings.

If we don't win it we'll still win the league. It's not a must win. There's no such thing as a must win game in February unless you're 10+ points behind.

I think you are failing to see the point and seriously underestimating Aberdeen who are on a marvellous run of form for a provincial team.
Their spirit is unbroken and their resolve remains undiminished.
Next week's game is a six pointer for both teams.
It's momentum we are talking about here. Tomorrow's game is a must win for us, because we can't afford to give any more incentive to a rampant Aberdeen.

Do you really want to slog it out with them for the title? I have seen some of the best Celtic teams come up short in these situations. The pressure is massive, combined with every team playing like their life depends on it against us, also honest mistakes. Now before the attacks start I do not think we will bottle the league, i am just saying that I would rather we not get into a proper run in this year. The next 3 league games are must win because it will give us breathing room and break their spirit. We can then focus on Europe and the 2 domestic cups. We can win the lot this season, that is why we have to put this league to bed NOW.

I know what the two of you are saying but it still doesn't make it a must win game. If we win it makes us a bit more comfortable at the top.. I we don't win then we have a chance to just beat Aberdeen at home and go 3 or 4 points clear with a game in hand.

This is not a must win game :smiley-laughing002:

You see this is the sort of comment I don't like.Complacent and making assumptions.Aberdeen haven't bottled anything yet, they came back to draw 3-3 with Dundee, that shows remarkable desire and passion.
They are level on points with us again and we just can't seem to shake them off.

This is the last non-massive game for me.

Could be in the next round of the EL on Thursday and kill of the league against Aberdeen and St Johnstone.

Then it's back-to-back Dundee United for the treble.

Rest as many as we can afford. Hamilton are in bad form and we should beat them comfortably at home.

I'm a Celtic fan, and I am deeply worried about Aberdeen.
I don't know how you are not worried about Aberdeen.

FFS people Aberdeen have shown that for the most part they have the measure of the other SPFL teams and can go on long unbeaten runs. If we dont win tomorrow then it closes the gap. We have to play them twice. We are in 4 competions, they are in 1. Win our next 3 games and the pressure is off, Failure to win tomorrow means they will be right up for it at Celtic Park, and mind we have a game in Italy the Thursday before.

I don't think Ronny will be complacent enough to let us lose/drop points at home to accies twice in one season..

Big win tomorrow, with a fresh squad..
