    Fair play to Morton though. They are actually going for it and been more positive than the majority of the teams we face in the league.

    I miss the days when players would actually taken on another player and try and beat him.

    Theyve got 9 players in the box. We arent going to pass it through them.

    Our problem is slow build ups.

    Keeper gets the ball and waits an eternity for everyone to get in their positions. This is turn allows the opposition to get back and get themselves sorted. Then we’re back to square one.

    Bit more directness. Play the ball in the channel, get them turning, break quicker, don’t let them settle. Launch a couple of long balls. Just do anything other than pass it horizontally in our own half for 2 minutes. As a defender for the opposing team that’s a joy, you get a breather and a chance to compose and organise your own defence.

    Get into the final third and what do we do, pass it backwards. Despite the defence being pish it's the attacking part of our game that's been awful this year, domestically anyway
