Im really surprised not to see McGinn. He mustn't be rated by TM

 

i understand why, if he played its way to offensive and a very unbalanced team

Thats what I've been worried about! TM played Robson agaisnt the Huns instead of McGinn knowing that he was getting rid of Robson and that McGinn was in great form.

I fear that we could see McGinn heading out the door....I hope im wrong.

Really looking forward to seeing Ki today though

Too bad Fox is out. I'm not too surprised in seeing Mcmanus with O'Dea, he's probably trying to showcase McManus to other teams I suppose. I am surprised that once again McGinn doesn't start, although I'd like to see Zheng again and see what he's capable of.

 

But we're effectively playing with 1 winger and have been doing for awhile. Is that the way TM had his West Brom team set up?

 

With our shaky defence there seems to be only room for 1 all-out winger in our side. McGeady has been absolutely outstanding this season so I feel sorry for McGinn, by the time we can consider 2 wingers again Maloney will be back in action.

Interesting to see how O'Dea and Ki will do.

 

Nah I think with a good defence (like before all our CB's lost form) TM actually prefers 2 wingers. It's just lately we've had to provide more steel in midfield hence 3 traditional CM's imo.

 

The wing positions are supposed to be offensive.

 

Yea i suppose. Having to cover are deficiencies in CB would mean sacrificing some offensive play.
