Last night, Izzy still is way off his 1st seasoin's form, Kayal same again, his distribution is poor-I think he thinks he is Beckam, Stokes needs to play alongside a front leader. Rest were ok and Sammy was really good!.
Best bit of the night for me was the new siging at half time and when asked what he knew about Celtic he gave it 'Come on you Bhoys In Green, Hail! Hail'-made my night that!
He looks an interesting chap!

 

Izzy was brilliant last night as well I thought.

 

Plus my other interesting bit from last night I got stopped in Yorkshire at 1am by the Police. His reason 'a lot of farm stuff is getting stolen here! You can imagine how happy I was. Right now I am off to ebay to sell a Combine Harvester!!!!!! Plus I nearly crashed avoiding running a BIG badger over that was in the middle of the road!!! LOL!!!!!

One thing that did annoy the life out me last night, was the number of long diagonals we tried. Even when it wasn't on, we tried them. If it's to Samaras then it's understandable, as he will win his fair share, but we were trying it with Forrest as well, probably the smallest guy on the park. I think everyone in the team had a go at it, with very little success.

Kayal had a couple, Brown had a few that are still waiting to come down, Lustig tried a couple. I think both centre halfs tried them. It was used quite regularly with very little success. Yet we persisted on trying them. Couldn't fathom it out.

 

Ambrose tried about 3m of them last night.

Glad we got the goal last night, hopefully should be enough to take over there.

We lacked creativity yet again last night, every pass so square. We need creativity in our team, its so easy to see. All we seem to do is get it wide and cross it. It wasnt helped by the fact that they played so defensive for most of the game but thats why we need those kind of players.

Sammy was the best player on the park by a mile.

 

Lack of goals and creativity worries me. In saying we still lacked creativity even when Hooper and Wanyama were here but at least we had goals in Hooper.

 

Exactly mate, this isn't a new problem was the same last year. Hopefully boerrigter will improve us but we need a playmaker. Dont think we'll go for one though unless we get to the group stages

We were the better team yesterday, but will need to look out for them on their own turf.

It is obvious we really need someone to replace Hooper. He was not my favorite player, but at least he scored a lot.

A goal is a must over there now IMO. Gonna be buzzing on Wednesday before this since the tie is FAR from over. Gonna be very nervy but I love it!!
