Just back from the game. Forrest was so frustrating for me tonight, kept drifting into the middle of the park when it was crying out for him to stay out wide and receive the ball. Not the best of games but the bottom line is we're one nil up. Here's hoping it's enough going into the 2nd leg.

There was nothing in it, slight brush of the cheek if that. I was the way he waited a moment then went down like a sack of spuds that * me off, he was trying to get Wilson sent off.

It sounded like a bit of banter but I was actually concerned about it before the game. You don't know if everyone involved was doing it as banter though, we can never no that. People did turn against him though when he was down. Like I said, it looked like Wilson took two swings, one missed and the other looked like he was chinned. But I would need to see it again. It wasn't an elbow I thought I saw though, It was a hammer punch.

The point is that people have condemned him now, which might be a tad unfair. I also thought that he had a pretty decent game for them too in a hard role.

Folk moaning on here. Out of all the CL qualifiers played tonight we got the best result. Not conceding an away goal was vitally important.

If we put as much effort in as we did tonight we should go through. The pressure is on Elfsborg.

I'm willing to take your word for it but it does kind of conflict with what I thought I saw. It looked like two swings. The first was a brush which makes it look like a delayed because the second chinned him. Anyway I guess it won't matter. Since it wasn't on T.V, I'm not even sure they will have video highlights of it.

Most folk are gonna give him a rough ride now anyway. Lenny might even be happy to kid rid off him.

They're going to have to chase the game over there so hopefully we'll get more chances to open them up with them pressing more:50:

An early goal away should be enough of a boot in the baws to see us right. We'll need to watch the injuries. ...they are dirty scumhorses.

It looked sore :smiley-laughing002: I thought he done a decent job holding the ball up. There was obviously a bit of needle between him and Wilson and Wilson's done his job and out him in his place. But giving the pressure of our defence he looked like he was holding the ball okay, not Hooper class obliviously but he looked decent.

'Wilson slapped him for his troubles' :56: Brilliant, guess you can't argue with that.

I dont think keeping a clean sheet was down to us though, Elfborg were *. We were dodgy in defence any other day they would've maybe got a goal.

Didn't see the game. Only going off what I read from the BBC and from Lennon & Commons post-match interviews.

Really good result tonight. Would have liked the lead to have been more comfortable heading over to Sweden, but a win and a clean sheet is what every manager dreams of in a knock-out tie at home.

Their home record is very impressive, so the tie is far from over. But if we perform in the away ties like we did last year, we should be fine.

    Hail, Hail!

Didn`t see the game but I would have liked to go to Sweden at least 2 goals up. At least we concede the away goal
