I am used to the draconian policing in Scotland but I am still surprised at how much the Swedish fans seem to get away with both on the pitch and off it. You have two thriving 'scenes' whereas everything here is dead or almost dead.

Looking forward anyway to a few days in Boras. Looks a nice wee town from what I've read. Hope the weather keeps up!

Borås is a kind town. It's very small, and the stadium is close to the "city center". It will be a good atmosphere, their stadium is tiny but good when it comes to creating atmosphere. I hope the weather is fine, as Borås is famous of being the "rain place" in Sweden.

*, never knew that! Stadium looked about 2k from the town centre where we we are likely to be drinking so that's good. And to be honest, I prefer these smaller intimate stadiums than your Nou Camps and San Siros.

    Forrest - Kayal - Ledley - Samaras

    Stokes

Should be enough to get us the win. Mulgrew for Ambrose maybe but I don't think the team will differ much from this.

    Elfsborg draw 1-1.

Bangura misses penalty, then gets subbed on the 70th minute.

Elfsborg now 6 points from leaders Helsingborg, with 1 game more played.

I've been watching Elfsborg from time to time when there's been no better games on, in the hope to see Bangura put on some good displays. I've yet to see one and i normally watch the game for 20 minutes and can't take any more:)

I'm getting nervous about this. These are no mugs. Anyone else feeling the same? What's the attendance looking like for the home game?

I have a horrific feeling that they are going to get something in the first leg.

    Me too. :54:

I think the first game is most dangerous due to their superior match fitness and the away goal rule. I'd take nil-nil now.

I think they'll shock us with a goal early on.

I'm the same. However unfortunately due to our good season in Europe last season some folk on here think we will cruise past this side. Trust me. They are a banana skin. Arguably stronger than Helsinki and Helsingborgs.

I'm sure 2 of our Swedish members said they were not as good as Helsingborg, but that said it is Celtic and we have lost out main goal threat,we really need to keep it tight at the back at home, and I feel we have been better away from home under Neil on the counter attack

If we can't beat a Swedish mob, we should chuck it in lol. I'm sure we'll come through this tie ok.

I hope it'll be like last year. Smash them and wonder "why did we worry?" Besides blade to come on and smash a hatrick to put us through on away goals.
