    I'm not picky.
If we play like that against Maribor then we will be in the Champions League groups no problem. We were absolutely amazing today, apart from a couple of wee dodgy moments in the 1st minute or so. Other than that, we ripped United completely apart. Our passing and movement was superb.

What a debut from Denayer as well. Great goal and his pace and tackling was superb. Great to see Berget play so excellent as well by grabbing two goals.

Looks like Forrest is injured once again, though, which is a pity cos he done well when he came on.

Great to see us scoring from set pieces. 3 corners and a free kick.
Hope this is a sign of things to come as we have never scored as many as we should.

I was thinking the same myself. The other day the * was getting pelters for his take on the Boerrigter penalty decision, but now he's an expert on how the posture could be affecting Forrest's series of injuries and he has suddenly become relevant. * off Neil your opinion on anything to do with Celtic is just a crock of * that you spout for your own ends and shows you up for the Sky * that you have become.

I think the scoreline makes our performance seem better than it was tbh, it was a big improvement no doubt but in general play i thought we were abit sloppy and pedestrian at times, thankfully dundee utds defending especially at set pieces was ridiculous but just like against st johnstone we did well to capitalize on their mistakes.

We scored from loads 2 seasons ago, maybe cause Wanyama was such a big target that others had more space, but last season we were quite poor from set pieces and I don't remember us scoring from that many.

Overall I thought it was a very impressive performance. They players look fitter and were not giving Dundee Utd a minute on the ball, which was great to see. You can see things clicking into place now with how the manager want's us to play with the ball, and what to do when we loose it.

Berget's performance was very encouraging, he looks fast, strong and has a good shot on him- he nearly broke the crossbar in the first half. I left at five one so didn't see his second but think we have a good player here.

Denayer was excellent too and what a finish for his goal.

    And Fergus :notworthy

Just reading Forrest got injured at the end :31:

Expert? Far from it, he stated it was his thought, stating he may be wrong.

Right away, your tirade has been blootered.

He's a decent pundit and gave a very good account of Celtic and the need for funding for a striker, almost demanding the board cough up.

    Ya oddball

From what Ronny has said, it sounds like its an area that he quickly identified as one that we could improve on. Although, a couple of those today were simply about putting the ball into a dangerous area and attacking the space. Simple really.

Delighted your boys both enjoyed the day Ricky and were able to see plenty of goals. That should them hooked now. :icon_mrgreen:

Funniest quote I've read on here today was someone saying at times it was like having two VVD's playing, because the guy sat next to me today said exactly the same thing. :smiley-laughing002:

Going by some comments I must be the only one thinking Emilio was poor today first half a few long balls he was easily caught out.

Only heard the first 5 mins of the game and it sounded quite open. Thought it would be a close run thing, only to find out after my game we won 6-1.

Heard differing opinions about the display, don't know how you can be disappointed with such a result(unless you field an ineligible player:50:)

Anyone offer a synopsis of the game???

I agree completely. Obviously we performed well today but I thought we struggled to create much from open play until the second half. I think four of our goals came from set pieces and one from a defensive mistake. Dundee United were just inept at defending set pieces and we made them pay for it.

Still a great improvement over the rest of our performances this season and I think we should continue to improve as the players adapt to a new style.

As enjoyable a 90 minutes I've seen in a few seasons, every player was on top of their game.Deneyer looks accomplished for someone so young,Craig Gordon looks like he's back to his best, and Berget should've got a hat-trick. 6-1 got a certain ring to it :)

Thought Kayal was excellent when he came on as well. Obviously the game was won but he still put himself about and made some good tackles and also setting up the 6th goal. Looks eager to make an impression and kick start his career here again which is a good attitude to see.

I thought the same- he looked sharp and not afraid to go into a a challenge.

New start for him, like everyone I suppose under a new manager.
