I mean it's a 30 year old building to be fair.
It's also probably the biggest building in the entire area under the red weather warning.
It's a stadium, with an enclosed space that would likely see the wind force increase if it got caught in there.

Doesn't look like there was actually much damage though, enough to rightly call the game off, but not like an entire roof collapsed or structurally destroyed.

Meanwhile a coop in Denny saw the entire side wall blown away.
Trees across the country got blown out the ground, roots and all.

But sure....only Celtic park was affected

Ibrox was damaged too but they’re not playing there this weekend. I don’t know if Hampden was damaged, but if you’ve ever been there it’s almost dug into a hill and well surrounded. Quite unique.

The other games are all East / North-East whereas I believe the storm was worst in the west.

Worth mentioning Celtic Park is much bigger than the other stadiums so there’s more to hit and less cover from surroundings. By comparison the other stadiums look like purpose built weather shelters.

I'm not in Scotland either but I still saw the news about it. Ibrox also had damage but they were away from home. Plenty of areas of Scotland had damage mate, it was a serious storm with a genuine threat to life. Stadium needed guys on rope access to repair some of the damaged areas of our ground, which obviously wasn't safe before the game.

As far as I was aware all ferries in Scotland had been suspended on Friday. Ours certainly was as it was wild out there.
