The team that finished third in Norway got beat 4-1 on aggregate by Aberdeen in the Europa League qualifiers this season. It's not like Bodo/Glimt have are facing Man City every week. They're the champions of Norway with a fraction of our finances. Our weekly competition is no excuse here

We've played 17 matches in 2 and a half months, even with a shutdown, and won everything except a single draw and now this game, where we just completely misfired...

Jesus! It's disappointing but some people seem to be thinking we blew the engine on the motor or something... Hopefully Ange will fire a rocket up the team, we'll reset for the weekend and get back to speed and then drive on for the rest of the season...

Personally, I don't give a * if we drop out of Europe now. Or even the Scottish Cup. Just win the * league matches and lift the title please! I think some folks are feeling it because the Huns got a cracking result and we stumbled. Let them play extra matches, we'll focus on the domestic run

I was looking through Bodo's players and they are aren't that great. I could only find one striker that seemed to score goals and there imports are absolute nobody's. People keep saying that had some good players but check out each player. We really should of won that game

They have players that know how to get the best out of each other, the three midfielders they have is the style of player that we’ve been bringing in under Ange, comfortable on the ball and high energy. They don’t have a high scoring player but they have a team that scores goals.

Think like, Ronny’s first season we had a 40 goal striker but not much danger elsewhere except our CB’s being close to double figures, then Rodgers first season when we had nobody near the 40/30 goal tally but a lot of players in double figures all across the pitch.

In Europe they had two players playing tonight that’s had 4 in 6 from midfield, no accident that it’s not just a main man up top they’ve got.

The main man they had for the groups they sold, he had 15 in 30 games. And the guy that replaced him scored against us tonight.

Their manager, coaches and squad have had 2 months to prepare for a single fixture.

    2 MONTHS.

They did their homework and a * dissertation ffs.

From what Im reading, we were well sussed and players dropped the head.

    Lesson learned.

    Onto the league.

Absolutely this for me mate. They had us sussed and played it to a tee. The bit that annoys me is that it was obvious early on and we had no reaction tactically to it.

Seen that a couple times this season but its always been us in a position of strength, Aberdeen 2nd half, Hearts 2nd half, AZ Alkmaar away. Alkmaar away we scored early and dug in, didn’t need to change it as much because we had the tie where we wanted. Hearts we had a 2 goal lead, Aberdeen as well. But all they teams made adaptations from the way they usually play to counteract the way we do, the 3 games we didn’t change anything to adapt.

The only time that stands out for me when we did was the game we went 3 at the back and 2 up top with Dawson and Abada. Canny mind who it was against but I was delighted we changed to adapt to the game.

I think he only done it because the personnel available to us at the time had players out of position so he adapted to help them.

Ange demands constant improvement, I hope he includes himself in that as well. It’s the one criticism I have of him.

Just watched the game; I think we got out-Ange-balled.

They reminded me of German teams; big, strong, fast players. Noticed the difference particularly with Taylor and Abada.

I understand they haven't played in two months; if so, hats off to them. I'd hate to see them when they are fitter and sharper.

Look forward to the second game, and whether we change our style in any way.

Don't know that the O'Riley/Rogic pairing went so well; kind feel Ange was hoping to blast them off the pitch. Think I prefer the solidity of Hatate in there.

We’ve went toe to toe with teams in Champion League places in the top 3 leagues in the world this year, we * pumped a team that just went away from home against the 2nd best team in the Bundesliga and embarrassed. We shouldn’t expect to lose against teams like Bodo/Glint in the first competitive game they’ve had in months.

I accept they can beat us and they are a higher quality than they’ll get credit for but I expect us to win at Parkhead.

We’ve done it to far better teams consistently over the years, the fear of us at homes not there anymore and weirdly we seem to play better away from home now but no chance we should right it off and think it’s ok to accept being turned over by teams at that level. We need to drill into our players that it’s not acceptable to just get to that level against teams from bigger leagues.

We beat a team home and away in the group stages that are a similar level, but I think we done it that much because they beat us into the CL last season and some players had a point to prove.

Tell you what mate, the biggest point I took out of that is we’ve never approached CL qualifiers in pre-season with that level of sharpness, that level of gameplan when bedding in new players with big players leaving and I’ve always accepted that because pre-season you won’t be at the top level.

They done it tonight though. They played like they have been playing week in, week out. Zero rustiness. Next time we have qualifiers we should be aiming for that.

Our reliance on cross balls is infuriating at times and hatate should've stated.
Other than that bodo were excellent especially considering they are still in pre season and clearly theyve used their free time to absolutely suss us out.

Just shows us how much we miss Kyogo in this team - his intelligence and movement off the ball and his finishing.

I don’t feel angry. It truly looked like they were better man for man. Individual mistakes didn’t happen to them, at least not big ones. Meanwhile, none of our players had a good game.

It’s just sad that the best in Scotland is worth only a Conference League KO round.

We were well and truly taught a lesson last night, better it happened last night than the league which is obviously the priority. Still very disappointed to lose and to lose in that manner.
We gave the huns a wake up call when they came to paradise, hopefully that is ours and we see to domestic matters here on in

12 corners last night ange needs to look about a set piece coach right away. our build up play was far too slow glimt never looked troubled .its games like that you need to have a threat from corners

Our first few short corners were somewhat promising, but even then, the reactions of their defenders were timely.

Crossed corners are useless without Ralston in the team. I do agree on a set piece coach, since he could at least help on the defense.

Only saw brief 15 minutes last night, unfortunately.

For that spell though, we looked the better side and looked to be playing to win.

I can only assume from some comments I've seen over the piece, that it wasn't a case of us being utterly dreadful, just out done?

Which is a concern in its own right, considering Bodo are in preseason mode!

A wake up call for sure.
Saw some slack passing, even with full attacking intent. Which is creeping more and more in to the side since the internationals/Huns game. Could it be just a few key players needing to find their feet again? Or an element of strolling through the games creeping in?

I'm sure Ange will sort it and I'm sure we will go out to win the away leg and see where we land.

It's a disappointing defeat, a lot to learn though.
    We aren't white there yet.

Ange was spot on in his post match interview. We pretty much controlled it but was so poor in the final third.
Bodo are a good team and they countered us very well and took their chances.
I am optimistic of us going to Norway and scoring first then we will see what happens then. Tie is not over ffs, don’t understand the pessimism I am seeing all around. We have to score first (and preferably early) but certainly we still can turn this game around. We scored 2 at Bayer Leverkusen and 2 against Real Betis away. Don’t see why we could not do the same.

We also conceded 3 against Leverkusen and 4 against Betis in the same games. We may well score but keeping a clean sheet in Europe right now is our weak spot.

If we had to have a game where everything went wrong, it is good that it ended up being a European game, and not an SPFL one.
