On the other side of it, if they press well we could do with Giakoumakis as an outball to knock it into if we occasionally have to miss the midfield.

    I'd give Jacky the start.

Just got a feeling with this one mate. :giggle1:

Then again though last euro game i was at parkhead was at home to Copenhagen and my prediction on the bus was 3-0 Celtic, didn’t really go to plan. :56:

Thats the thing, it's why I'm pessimistic.

We were all reasonably confident going in against Copenhagen :giggle1:.

In saying that I'd be disappointed and surprised if we went out over 2 legs against this mob.

I’d be starting Maeda personally, his pressing and pace over Jack O’s physicality.

The Rogic/O’Riley choice is far harder, there’s strong arguments for both.

That copenhagen game being at home would have suited us first getting draw away goal the manager and players thought they had it sewn up

Proper buzzing for this. Here we go, 4 in one go.

100%. Dont envy Ange tbh. At a push I'd go for O'Riley and Jacko. I reckon we'll concede here but score a lot - 4-1.

O’Riley ahead of Rogic for me, both to play a part in the game but O’Riley has been outstanding since coming in and the Motherwell game aside the few games Rogic has played since the winter break he’s not been great. I know it’s a small sample but it’s been mainly against quite weak opposition Hibs, Alloa, Motherwell (he was excellent) and Raith.

Bodo/Glimt despite being in preseason are renounced for being high energy so I think O’Riley is better at the defensive side of the game too, without losing much in the creative department. Juranovic back will be massive, the rest of the team except striker picks itself.

In terms of striker either option would be fine and I reckon both will have a role to play regardless of who starts and who comes of the bench. It was good they both got a goal yesterday. Slightly tempted to go Giakoumakis and keep the team similar to the derby win given how well we played that night, I also don’t think either of their centre backs are particularly physical so he could rough them up a bit.

I wouldnt risk any major players who might not be 100%, the only one Id do is give Julien game time.

Pity if guchi aint in squad as game time would be good.

Just worried about losing a player in the run in, title is too important and this tournie at best can only lead to qualifying for Europa League.

Go for the win but woudnt be putting out all the big hitters.

Best team out. We are here to win, simple as. We do not need to be complacent in Europe. We have a team and are here to win this is an important tournament with prestige to it

I want to win this cup. Anyone who turns there noses up at this watches too much epl.

Strongest team at home and crush them by 5 and then relax in the 2nd leg.

Ange talking them up in the media, seems to rate them highly which basically makes me rate them highly. Big thing in our favour of course is the amount of players they've lost and us being mid way through our season.

Let's catch them cold and put the tie to bed. I definitely fancy a high scoring game, 4-1/5-2 or something.

I think they will be a decent team, they play on a plastic pitch iirc so we might struggle a bit away from home

They'll be no mugs. Had we played them at the group stage i would've been a lot more worried, knowing they're in pre-season and have lost a lot of their best players makes us favourites, no doubt

Buzzing for this! Plastic pitch means we probs don't win over there... Scuttle them at Home 1st and end the tie.

We may need a 2 goal lead on Thursday night, the away leg will not be easy. They are very strong at home.

Get an early goal and take it from that. Confident we should have enough to win overall.
