I think VGOH is so important now that if he's not playing I see a draw on the cards. Miller is good creatively but who's going to sit on the penalty spot and tuck away the scrappy goals? Magic can do that but if he's injured then we really need VGOH to play. Benfica seemed to have picked it up a bit in the league now, they've banged in 8 goals in their last 2 games.

You're right HKBHOY, a draw wouldn't be a disaster, as long as Man U keep winningthen I think we have a good chance against them at Parkhead, when they'll surely put out a diddy team. Maybe they'll even recall those notorious diddies Lee Martin and Bardsley from the Dark Side. Although that would just be insulting.:86:

really do like the look of that team.

My only fear would be who benfica play on the wings especially left naka and telfer could maybe struggle going back and lennon would have to do a lot of work in that formation. I do like the positive thinking though.

Don't sweat it, Guitarbhoy would play the groundsman or the jannie before Lennon

Lots of pessimistic Celtic fans posting here lads.. Thats not like us look at the old Man Utd thread we were predicting all sorts of Celtic wins.. However i do admit losing VOH for this game would be a major blow..

But remember they are missing one of their main Playmakers(Rui Costa) and their other quality mid fielder(Karagounis) .. So lets keep positive!!!

For the first time this season we've been hit with an injury problem, although we dont know how much of a problem its going to be until later on today. Obviously fingers crossed for JVOH, McGeady and Zurawski, and we know Gravvy, Wilson and Beattie are out. But if worst comes to the worst and all the above players are out, what are we left with? The normal back five, Lennon, Sno, Maloney and Naka in the middle, and Miller and.............Who? Jarosik? No chance, he looks like a shadow of his reputation.

I think risks are going to have to be taken tonight, somehow i dont think the three doubts will be 100% fit, but i think JVOH will HAVE to start even if he's in pain. Obviosly Zurawski will be the very very last resort as it was his hamstring that's causing him problems, but then Maloney could start up front and McGeady could be risked.

I think whatever happens, we could suffer in the long run, as if players are risked and dont make it through unscathed, we could be struggling mainly up front.

But don't get me wrong here, im F**KING confident we can get three points tonight, so i dont want to hear any accusations!!! :50: :shamrock:

Right guys I need this answered - Will Celtic fans be in the South East Corner tonight?

I got my ticets via thomas cook as part of a hotel package and I am sitting in the South East Corner Section 118. I thought that was the area reserved for away fans? I've noticed on the Celtic Website that Section 119 WILL be Celtic supporters but you know I just want to be sure.

I phone up Celtic and all the guy could tell me is I think that section is celtic fans but I cant say for sure.

HELP !!! I can't be sitting with those smelly portuguese.

Cheers mate. Hope your team start pressurising the 3rd spot soon like you should be. Your 1st team is better than theirs IMO, you just need to be more consistant.

Aaargh! I'm getting really excited about this match. It's the biggest one of the year. If we win this then i think we've got a 66% chance of qualifying, and we can afford to sit back and defend in Benfica and hit them on the break. They have to come out and attack at Parkhead after losing to Manu U and drawing with Kopenhagen.

    2-1 Celtic.
JVOH 23rd minute, Miller slips him in for a nice finish.
Simao 42nd min, Sno bundles someone over in the box.
78th min, Big Mick rises like a salmon in spawning season to thump home a header from a corner.
79-94th minute, SwoopingVulture shites himself and prays for the whistle.

    :celt_2: Hail Hail.
