Midfield have been ok, but as usual we don't have someone in there to break up their attacks.

 

His positioning was awful. He was too deep and he was late to see/react to the danger.

Once he had made those mistakes it's just salt in the wound to watch the ball bobble back to the Bayern guy.

 

I'd go 3 at back take taylor off bring jota on n let maeda do his * haha

 

He was right in the keepers eyeline and let the ball run through his legs. I think it's undoubtedly interfering

 

Defended fairly well for the most part and Bayern pressed us well but we need to be far smarter on the ball when we do break. Goal was a sucker punch but not out the game yet.

 

And idah has to stay up front ro give us an out ffs . Why are we so naive at this game ffs we been playing it for over 100 years

I think the goal means we can now throw caution to the wind. Realistically we have to win this game to have even a slim hope of progressing. Easier said than done, but we need to take chances now moving the ball forward quickly.

 

Gutted but we've played well.
Proud as anything from that first 45 minutes.

Some refs/linesman decisions have been shocking.

I thonk we need to be more aggressive this half. Nothing to lose, if we don't turn this around the tie is over anyway.

 

We lack the cutting edge on the counter that other teams have. A few chances fluffed by a poor pass behind the attacker.

 

He’s trying to help and trying to cover Kane too. Kane would be in acres, if Trusty commits then he’s scoring. Better to just close the angle and hope there’s a deflection or Kasper saves it. None of them are expecting Olise to smash it near post either.

 

I'm raging with Taylor and I'm always positive but he * is not up to this standard

 

The Villa game really highlighted the difference between fitness (strength, speed and stamina) of the 2 teams that night.

Not a huge surprise the 2 players currently struggling the most (Taylor and Hatate) are our weakest in those qualities.

 

One saving grace is Kane's been a bit * tonight so far

 

Engles is definitely capable of doing McGregor's job at times, hatate I'd be a bit nervous of but he has the ability but drops his concentration too much
