I actually don't really see where we can improve the team either. Gordon and Lustig are probably the two weakest players in the team but it'll be difficult to get better guys than them with our budget.

Look at Ostersund in the Europa League then have a look at budgets, I don’t care who it is we face at Parkhead, tonight was unacceptable.

I can't recall more cowardly performance at home in Europe. It was an incredibly frustrating watch. I honestly don't think we have improved at all in Europe compared to last season. If anything our passing and defensive organisation has been worse. Not taking anything away from our great result in Belgium ,but Anderlecht were in disarray at the time. Even though they have consolidated now , we shouldn't be losing against that team at Celtic Park. We lost because we played calculated, flat and slow football. All in all , a cowardly performance.

If we want to go anywhere in Europe we will need to increase our budget. We hardly spent anything this summer.

Have to say, that was an utter * game of football for what was supposed to be Champions League level and it’s embarrassing getting bear off them.

A lot more work to be done for us to be considered anywhere near decent at European level unfortunately.. really thought we were getting there too.

Sadly it was a very flat performance from our team tonight . But the good thing is that we still have European action to look forward to after the turn of the year . I looked at the betting for the Champions league last week , and spotted that both PSG and B. Munich were favourite and 5th favourite respectively . It goes to show what a hellish group we were drawn in . When you look at some of the groups , you realise we got the * end of the stick on that front . We may well have qualified had the draw been kinder .

Getting beat in Europe on a regular basis is getting embarrassing....
Yes, we can’t compete with PSG etc...but surely we can build a team that is hard to beat
especially in Europe...teams no matter who they are no longer fear coming to parkhead.
Anderlecht are no more than decent... yet they dominated us for large parts of the game.

I feel we could do with another winger and I'm starting to wonder about Jozo

Forster, Matthews, Ambrose, Wilson, Mulgrew, Lustig, Watt, Commons, Ledley, Wanyama, Miku, Samaras, Kayal, Hooper, Stokes, Brown, Forrest

This group of players looked like a strong European team.

How much better are they than the current? I think quite a lot.

Tierney and Dembele would get i the starting 11. Maybe 1 or 2 more aswell

I don't know if it has been said.Sinky and Armstrong have to back BR. I was in the pub with 3 Tims, we all thought the same Armstrong and Sinky completely off the game.We wanted a victory but pleased to reach the Europa.
Match summary from Henrik ,BBJ and Sutty was great.

I honestly don’t know where we are going wrong. Like I can’t pick a single or few positions where we need improvement. Usually I’d say Gordon and Boyata but they weren’t at fault tonight. The whole midfield just seemed to be totally separated and isolated. What formation were we even playing? Armstrong and Ntcham both played left mid for large portions of the match. Sinclair has totally gone this season after a great start. Dembele didn’t look ready. Edouard looked better, Forrest was playing right back for some * reason, Armstrong was just...total *. Can’t remember a single good European performance from him. Should have sold him for big money in the summer. McGregor is too lightweight when we are in a real battle. Lustig is too slow.

Yet look and Lennons and Strachans teams. Sometimes I wonder how those teams ever achieved anything. Do questions need to be asked of the manager at this point. I love him as much as anyone else but if he left now, his European record would be up their with one of the worst in our history.

Honestly think we need to get beat in Spl to get a bit of a kick up the *.

Been drifting through a lot of games lately bar Motherwell at the weekend and need something to get us kickstarted into action for the Europa.

They played better but that XI is brutal. Bog standard players made to look like heroes. It’s not the players ability letting us down, it’s the mentality and tactics.

Wanyama and Ledley would be great right enough

Yeah I meant Lustig and Brown too.

Wilson and Mulgrew were brilliant for Celtic especially that campaign. Adam Matthews v Barca at home was a unreal performance aswell
