Exactly. Players deserve no praise for a one off performance against a dreadful Anderlecht team

Part of me says we need Paddy for that extra quality, that player that can inspire the rest of the team.

We can talk about 10M+ valued players make a difference but for me one player wouldn’t have made much of a change.

I don’t think Pat has been at it quite yet, I’ll say the same for Armstrong.

Generally the team has a wee form problem as far as performance and fluidity goes.

Time to kick on, Brendan maybe using fear to get a response with the January window coming. Smart move saying players not good enough.

Aye, not quite sure where he actually played, but was really impressed by him. His touch was class.

Aye look like an attacking midfielder but was drifting all over, looked really skillful and technical on the ball.

Armstrong seems to have morphed into his old mate GMS, fair enough no one was great in first half but guys like Tierney, broony, even Boyota who had a few bad passes , they weren't hiding and were trying to get in about it, Armstrong was hiding and looked like he didn't want the ball and when he got it wanted rid of it straight away and ended up starting an attack for ANderlecht , a like wee mcgregor as well he's improved tremendously but still think he soot his depth at this level

Held off saying it before the game, but I was actually dreading this game.

The 0-3 away result was misleading, they gifted us that win with goals as bad as even we have conjured up this campaign.

We were clinical, yes, but it was a misinterpretation of were the two sides are, especially as Anderlecht we're going through a real bad patch.

We have a real problem with holding a lead over (essentially) a two legged tie, players seem to fold and make it real difficult from themselves.

Don't blame Rodgers, as much, he has a few in his squad who aren't quite good enough for this level.

Benfica have twice the budget of FC Basel and yet Basel qualified ahead of them. Budgets are a lame excuse to be honest. Passion and desire go a long way.

Hardly an excuse if it's true. If the manager believes we need investment and better players, then we do. It's not doing Rodgers career any favours if he is going to be hindered whilst manager of our club. Other problem not of our making is the obvious lack of quality or challengers in domestic football.

We forget as well Anderlecht got to the semis of the Europa was it last season and ran Man U close I think. They're a decent enough team, they really done to us what we did away to them only they never got the goals they shut us down at the back and kept forcing us to rush out passing and lose it then they kept possession well - we done the same away to them shut them down won the ball then held it and built attacks.
