I love Virgil, he was solid tonight but I thought Ambrose was a bit better than him. Like someone else mentioned he actually played better vs Milan and and Barca. Maybe its because I watched the game with my Da tonight who's negative as * :56: :31:

I thought Ambrose had a good game, but a few times he very nearly put us in serious trouble. Especially that one out on the NS touchline...where Virgil bailed him out.

Conservative, indeed. Forster was absolutely amazing, too. Way, way better than just "good".

100% agree with ye. They were the standouts tonight with Mulgrew MOTM.

They're making a habit of it, before the Barca game they had Lustig right wing :smiley-laughing002:

Schone was only on the pitch for about 10 minute and got a goal. Cant ask for much more of an influence.

That goal could have a massive effect if we are tied on points with Ajax at the end.

La Gran Marulla was good for me. He pulled off his usual amazing save though, but in all honestly he didn't have much to do. One thing I can say is I'm ALWAYS comfortable with him in goal, even when the other team has a 1 on 1 I always feel pretty comfortable. Kinda like with Boruc back in the day, its a great feeling to have

He had a least 4 superb saves :smiley-laughing002:

It's got to the stage that in a 1 on 1... I don't expect him to concede.

One in the first half which was more of a clearance to be fair, and it was to redeem his original error :smiley-laughing002:

His one just before our second goal. One down to his right where he then made a clearance similar to the one in the first half, then the low one to his left late on.

Some of those are some I come to expect from the big man now :50: Natural for him to be pulling off the great saves mate

They had Lustig at centre back and Ambrose at right back as well.

Forster had a good game but he's still panning a * every time a ball comes into the box....in the first half he made a hash of a simple cross, he did well to direct it away with his feet right enough.....some fantastic saves again though
