Naylor-5-Did better than he has been recently

Nakamura-7-Good passing, movement but could have finished a few chances.
    Brown-6/7-Good passing good tackling.
Donati-7-Scored a goal set up a goal but missed a few chances.
    Mcgeady-5-Gave lots of balls away.

Great 2nd half when we just went up three gears. My ratings (base on 2nd half only)

    Boruc-ok-6
Wilson-turning into a great defender and good attacker-7
Naylor-big improvement in 2nd half (dire in 1st)-6.5
    Gary-Solid-6.5
    Mick-Commanding display-7
Donati-excellent in defence and attack, his best yet-8
Brown - did OK but a bit quiet. Can do much more -6
Naka- world class 2nd half performance on the left -9
McGeady-* 1st half, pretty good 2nd but still some sand dancing and ball losing-6
Skippy-A let down after Moscow. Drifted too deep and wide-5
JVOH-A good player but off form-6
Kenny-Excellent. He has surely earned the 'wee striker' shirt of the little-large pairing that WGS always picks -8

For first half ratings subtract 2 from each and add the word 'pish' to all under 6.

Basically our players are far better than the rest of the SPL and that can only be cancelled out by battling and closing down for about an hour. The other team then tires and we kill them off. Player by player we are miles better than Aberdeen but the team has not totally come together yet. When it does the rest are sunk. What do you think of Rangers this year. I havent seen much of them.

Makes me sick to see the league table where Rangers are clearly on better form than us... scoring 12 goals to our 7. And have all 9 points from there games. Not to mention they have easily won also... unlike us

We need to start killing teams from the start

Think you've summed it up pretty well there Keltoi. Although i thought there were some shocking performances out on the pitch.

Thought McGeady had a terrible game, could accept his culpability for the goal and his constantly getting caught with the ball if he did ANYTHING going forward but that was one of the worst performances i have seen in a long time. Naylor continued his poor form, pumping the ball forward aimlessly. Thought Skippy was poor, did not drag the defence about and was taking potshots from every angle when the simple ball would have been better. Caldwell's long balls just went through to their keeper. Donati turned it around in the second hald because i thought he was very poor in the second half.

On the plus side Naka always looks dangerous and Brown gave 100%.

The important thing is getting through these games. Remember that we seem to have been struggling the last two matches and have still scored 7 goals.

we have good players but they just do not show it by playing badly or under performing.

This is how it feels to be Celtic
How can 3-1 be lucky. We showed that our fitness level was much higher than the Sheepshaggers as we showed against Falkirk. I don't think there is a fitter team in the SPL.
It's a game of 90 minutes and we were up for it.

I agree. They are not combining very well but I am confident they will become a team in a few more weeks. When you replace both your main central midfielders in one summer that is a really big change and takes longer than say a new fullback to work.

    How is it lucky?

Because we were terrible for 70 mins and were a goal down. It wasn't as if we conceded a freak goal and we were pummeling them. They were the better team for 70 mins.

Why the * are we worried about Rangers. They have had two home games while we have had two difficult away games. Wait until the end of October when we have been to Ibrox and then see what the points and goals difference is. We have much more quality in our team.

Here here, let's look at the table at Xmas and see where we stand. Hearts were favourites for the league 12 games into last season!:56:

Did anyone else think the ref today was rubbish? I thought there were a number of times when the Aberdeen players were rolling about injured when we had the ball and the ref was stopping it even though the players didn't have head injuries.

I thought the ref was average, which in the Spl means he was pretty poor.

Apparently what happened with Strachan is that, after we scored to go 2-1 up Pendrey waved at the fans who were giving them all stick. The steward then made his way down and accused Pendrey of sticking two fingers up at all the fans in the stand and Strachan came over to defend Pendrey. Either way it's a disgrace WGS got sent off for doing nothing :47:

Yaaaassssss, great end to the match again bhoys. They don't make it very comfortable for themselves or us, but thankfully we have a lot of resilliance.

Happy with the 3 points and the quality of the goals, but am far from happy with the way we can't get into the game when our opponents are on form. We should be ripping these teams whether they're playing well or not.

Cheers for the goals Kenny bhoy, keep it up for another few weeks and you could well win back the confidence of the Hoops faithful!!! :shamrock: :shamrock: :shamrock:

Well done bhoys, stuck to your plan and kept battling, with the amount of closing down they had to do they where gonig to get tired and with kenny coming on to run at the tired defence,
it was only a matter of time before he/we scored.
    Hail hail

Well played, great comeback. I have to say though, Aiden McGeady is the most over-rated player to don a Celtic top. He was woeful today, dreadful.

Well done Kenny Miller by the way. Hands up!
