While really loving Scales, I’ve always been of the mind that we probably could do with someone stepping up ahead of him. I’ve been delighted to see Trusty stepping up to give him proper competition, and in theory I’d have had him with CCV no bother.

However, part of what has been so impressive with Thelin has been how he’s taken an Aberdeen side that wasn’t overly changed since Scales was there under Robson, etc, and turned it totally around.

Therefore, given Scales’s insight into some of his former teammates, it might make him a better choice. It wouldn’t work against us in the other direction either, as he is undeniably not the same player he was while there. I definitely think he had an edge when he played them last.

That all said, I don’t think he was amazing vs Sokler, whom I can’t stand and desperately don’t want to see score against us again.

 

Trusty or scales, Engels or Barnardo , Valle or Taylor seem to be three unknowns.

Kuhn , Maeda , Kyogo the front three for sure will do serious damage on that big pitch.

Fancy us very very strongly for a statement win. As others have said their fans need putting back in their pen. Just do it Celtic.
