Disappointing from Celtic. But Aberdeen have been to 4 finals in the last 10 years, it was just their time. Good luck to them in the Europe groups next year. Our bench needs some work.

 

If we are being magnanimous it is healthy for Scottish football that someone else wins now and again.

 

Aye see if it's another team outside of the huns, I don't mind from time to time.

Raging today but when I look back on it at the start of next season I'll appreciate that it's a good thing for the game up here.

 

There is a generation of supporters who don't know what it is like to lose a cup final. This is how it feels. It is hard to take.

We were flat today but that shows how tough it can be to win as much as we do. We take it for granted. There is definitely something off with the balance of the team..Midfield wise we lack creativity without Hatate. Scales is decent but his distribution isn't great. Taylor plays above himself and did OK today but KT will be a huge improvement. Idah I have never rated as an Ireland fan. Jury is still out.

Hopefully we see some improvement in the summer. But the season has been good. Won the league at a canter. Won the League Cup. Made the final of the Scottish cup. Restored credibility in Europe. Today was one of those days where the standards we have set we did not reach.

A word for Callum McGregor. A serial winner. Could have written today off. He has plenty of medals. But no, utter devastation for him. That is the standard.

 

Obviously gutted but what's done is done, if we learn from it and improve then I'm old enough to live with it and look forward to next season, league was most important and it's still a double winning season

 

I think more than our bench needs some work to be honest

 

If everyone gave the same effort and determination as our captain did today then we would be sitting here celebrating a treble treble. Guys like Khun and Engles should be ashamed that a guy years older than them can contribute more to a game than they two could together

 

We play rangers, they sit back then counter,but they have had the upper hand recently. Aberdeen sit back, counter , then hold on. Don’t want Brendan gone, but we seem to struggle with team’s doing tactics in that way.

 

Rodgers has no plan B. Totally inflexible. Sticks with the same turgid style. It’s all very well having loads of possession but without an end product it is ineffective.

Seen it coming. Even at 1-0 I didn't feel comfortable. This team has ran it's course. So many of them can gtf. Wake up call if there ever was one.

Huns will laugh, but then realise Aberdeen won a trophy this season and they didn't.

 

Can’t believe coms today complaining about Aberdeen being defensive, we’ve scored a billion goals against them this year.

fair play to them, they set out for penalties and won regardless of performance. Brilliant plan and as I thought before the game, it’s the year of the underdogs around the world.

only positives I can take from today are the board CANNOT allow complacency.

Take away Rodgers say on players cos his transfers 90% of the time are utter dogshit.

I actually like thelin so if we’re to lose, at least it’s to him. Hopefully they can find the form from the first half of the year and do a European push and challenge for second with a bit of a cash injection.

Can’t begrudge them a win. We moan about the lack of competition and throw the toys out of the pram when someone competes with us.

We’ve done exceptionally well to win so many trophies over this period of dominance. Its not necessarily a bad thing for a club like Aberdeen to have their time.
