20 by January should be no problem at all for Leigh. He needs to be more ambitious :icon_mrgreen:

    Good game.

    6 Gordon
    7 Lustig
    7 Boyata
    7 Simunovic
    7.5 Tierney
    7 Johansen
    7 Bitton
    6 Commons
    7.5 Rogic
    7 Forrest
    7 Griffiths

Good performances allround apart from Commons, though Commons was poor in the first half constantly losing possesion, decent in the 2nd.

What amount of goals did the Thumb score last year? Early 20s?

Only caught the 2nd half but we played well for the vast majority.

Major plus points for me were the performances of Griffiths, Rogic, Biton and Tierney. A mention for Simunovic as well who from what I seen in the 2nd half won near enough every header, a terrific clearance as well stopping Rooney(I think) from surely scoring, just before he came off.

    Important win.

Great result today. The league is well and truly ours to wrap up now. No doubts. Not like there ever really was.

Played very well today. Only negatives were we still looked shaky in defence towards the end, and Commons was * yet again.

He wasn't as bad as he has been recently. Not great either though, hope he's dropped for Thursday.

Really good performance. Thought Leigh Griffiths was superb. Rogic was impressive. Would have liked to see Scott Allan getting a run out. Like the look of Simunovic. He looks like a proper defender. Thought Shinnie was lucky to stay on the park. Nasty foul on Bitton

Derek McInnes: "At times, we had control of the game. Even when we didn't have the ball, we were showing them where we wanted to show them.
"We had some brilliant first-half attacks. We looked really threatening, probably more so than Celtic at that stage.

What feckin game was he watching?

They had control even when they didn't have the ball? How can you control the game if you don't have the ball? Bawbag

Defensive shakiness was down to Coco the clown coming on and Izzy, if you shake up a settled defence that late in the game it's bound to happen.

Especially bringing on a player such as Ambrose.

Good game overall, thought we got away with a few of aberdeens misses first half, the first goal today was always crucial. Second half we were superb. Griff playing out his skin once again, Rogic having another good game and Jozo and Boyata looked solid enough. Kieran Tierney was immense as well, has to start Thursday for me.

Yeah izzy coming on you can understand, hopefully it's just Tierney being withdrawn to get him saved for Thursday and to give him the standing ovation he deserved.

Efe coming on tho, * knows what that's about. Would've preferred to see Allan on.

Great result with a much better performance. As already said still very shaky at the back, again we lose a late goal to a set piece. I did notice at times today we had a mix of zonal marking and players being tracked in the box at set pieces. I thought the worst when 15 minutes to go, 3-0 up Ambrose came on!!

Forest was good, created a lot of space for others with his pace. Johansen had one of his better games this season, sitting back and keeping it simple with plenty of recovering tackles. The Thumb was excellent today, not just his goals but his work rate was never ceasing. Young Tierney was superb, for a young lad to come in and play the way he has done having broken his leg last year is just admirable. Some of the established team should learn something from him. I thought we may have missed Broony today with his drive but Rogic provided that and again had a good game.
Not a fan of this system we play, far too predictable and always open to the counter attack. But with the right players that Ronny picks it can work. Tierney can defend as attack and is more disciplined in that role than Izzy. Boyata and Simo seem to work well together although they need more time together. On the whole a good day and cant wait until Thursday.
