If there is only 1 CL place up for grabs for the winner of the SPL this means that there will be even more spice between us and the huns as however wins the league will get into the CL and can use the money to improve their squad. Its time we started to get the finger out and show the huns who is the best scottish team and bring the nights of glory back to paradise

To be fair if they win against the Turks Walter Smith will have been the first manager to win 7 games in the champions league with one Scottish team....

We've been really * in Europe, getting humped in Utrecht hurt us badly after a 2-0 home win - Lenny really needs to get a grip this season, or we'll have no chance of Europe again.

I don't give a * if they would or not. It's not about me supporting them or not really - if it's gonna give us a shot in Europe, I would be perfectly happy for the huns to win some meaningless match aganst Bursaspor, who they are already guaranteed to finish above.

The game against the turks has draw written all over it anyway even in wally did send out a strong side.
We cannot rely on rangers to boost the coeffecient rankings in europe, thats done by winning matches, rangers philosophy is to simply win 1 match then draw the rest, and this guarantees them european football after christmas.
Whether we win the league or not, its EL for us simply because we will still have a qualifier to play in the CL and while we would be in the winners side of the draw, that side is getting steadily better and better recently and we would be playing some swiss or belgian team, or maybe even turkish or greek. Not easy games going by celtics previous records in a qualifying round.
Time to bolster with 2 or 3 signings in January and win this title!

Got to disagree with you on that one.

If we had signed Fletcher the year we were going for 4 in a row I reckon we would have got it. All our strikers dried up and then Fletcher proved himself in the Premiership.

We wouldnt pay an extra half mil for him, and I think it cost us the league...not to mention hes just went for 8 mill

 

6.5 mill actually. Typical McCarthy buying though. Didn't he get Steven Hunt for 6 mill? I don't rate Fletcher as really that good.
