I think I raised this a few years ago with some of their previous commentators being extremely cringey on air.
Seems to have crept back in..I know referees are pretty woeful but every 5 seconds tom Boyd or the commentator whining about the referee are a new level of cringe...ok once or twice reference it...but the whole fcking game??? Get a grip!
Summer is a breath of fresh air though, just does the job.

Everything is "amazing" and "fantastic". You can tell the producer is saying '30 seconds' and she tries to spin out her sentences longer :giggle1:
She is very professional mind, and good at her job, the Celtic media has came on leaps and bounds since she became involved but I still feel it's a bit awkward at times. :ynwacelti -

If you haven't noticed, the level of officiating has ramped up about 10 notches this year. A great servant and Celtic commentator saying what we all think and see, shocker..
Is he supposed to ignore it when it's probably the biggest talking point of the night? Should he talk about how comfy the gantry is and that there's no enough sugar in his tea, whilst Sinclair is being two footed?Sean Daleer, The IRA, Keano88 and 3 others like this. -
It can be a bit ott, but to be fair its the only place in the media you will actually get an honest report on how awful the refs are.
Think the ref last night was a disgrace. And it really didn't matter or play in to anyone's hands, the whole conspiracy idea would suggest they would have rather Aberdeen got beat.
It is as simple as the refs are completely useless, spineless, inconsistent, mediocre at their jobs. Their allegiance for a certain club shines through when they need it most and they play on the idea of these mistakes to excuse them.ChrisMoh and Marty McFly like this. -

They're fans of the club watching the game,on Celtic tv,it's naturally going to be biased.They're right to have a go though,the exact same was being said in the match thread and by anyone else watching that last night - the referees are at best incompetent.

The refereeing was bad aye but there were some challenges last night where Boyd and whoever the other boy is were going mental when it wasn't really deserved. :56:
Was quite funny tbh. I'm used to it by now, it's a celtic fan channel so if you can't expect bias there I don't know where you can! -

Love Boyd, but agree.
Was adamant that it wasn't a back 3 (with Tierney further up) at the start of the match, rubbished it when the other boy pointed it out and basically said it just looked like that because of the way KT plays.
Was clear as day, found myself thinking if we were watching the same game.Artorias likes this. -
I don't really enjoy the Celtic TV commentary either. It IS too biased, for my taste anyway. It's the same reason I stopped buying the Celtic View years ago, it was nothing more than club propaganda. Every young player was written about as though they were the next Pele and if the team was playing * or the manager was doing a terrible job then you would never have known it. Criticism, constructive or otherwise, was not allowed.
I'm a Celtic supporter but I'm also a realist. That kinda stuff just doesn't work for me. -

Imagine actually sitting down watching Celtic on Celtic TV, with commentators who played for and support Celtic saying nothing but positive stuff about Celtic.
