Very disappointing overall I'd say.

We are just about net net (hopefully Engels matches M'OR!) from how we ended May 2024.

Valle and Trusty are the added recruits in addition to the net net position but conscious that we have needed both a LB and CB for the last 7 or so transfer windows. It was the absolute bare minimum 7 windows ago! Unsure if Trusty will be the solid CB we need but let's review in due course.

We'll likely get LMC as well but we really were in need of substantive quality at LW, RW, CDM, CB and RB. Not enough real quality.

So, just to be clear, you wanted us to sign two goalkeepers, a right back, a centre back, a left back, a defensive midfielder, two centre midfielders, a right winger, a left winger and a striker? And they all should have been substantive quality?

 

With what your wanting you would need to sell several matt oreillys to fund it. We were never signing a rb as ww have ralston.

Would love Winger. Forrest still has it but Yang is woeful. Kuhn Ave said before I can see player of the year in him and he's started well. Would love a Paddy Roberts esq signing from a City or Chelsea.

You do understand to fund that we probably would have had to sell Hatate and Kyogo, which would have meant two more players to buy in.

 

Unless Trusty and Valle are substantive upgrades on what we have (and needed to sign 7 windows ago), we are net net from May 2024. Nearly sure everyone agreed we required a significant quality injection then.

 

The thread name shouldn't have been changed, for me even with trusty, engels and maybe McGowan think it's the worst summer transfer window I can recall for a very long time. Absolute rotten, were an idah or bernardo (Slightly less) away from being weaker than last year.
