I've always wanted one mate tbh but this rumour of CCV being out is giving me the fear.

Even if he isn't injured it compounds the fact that as soon as he's out the side its scales or Welsh.

Not saying there's a chance of it. But it's what I thjnk is needed.

    Why? :39:

The announcements of Engels and anyone else have zero impact on other signings.

The boss seems relaxed. Let's hope he gets what he wants today.

Sounds like we can expect more than only Engels and Trusty.

He looks focused and ready for a hectic day. In my opinion, as a professional body language expert of course, he would be a lot more chilled out if all he wanted was Engels and Trusty. I think we’ll be active. Quadruple announcement by midnight.

    Excellent interview..

You know there'll be more to come going from that alone..

Wee sneaky smile and talk of homegrown probably means there'll be a McCowan or someone domestically also..

Aye, I'm confident as well mate..

4 minimum. Maybe even a sneaky 5 if it's an easy 1 like McCowan .

Positive talk from him. Couple more on top of Engels and Trusty and I'll be content - still not happy with the level of anxiety the club has inflicted on me by sitting on their hands all summer but better late than never as they say.

Once again financially the club have worked wonders by moving on deadwood and a star player for more than they've spent but breaking our record on Engels and potentially Idah is a big statement.

If Brendan is happy then it bodes well for the season.

A number of transactions going on behind the scenes according to BR.
I actually think it will be 4 announced .

There was a real buzz/confidence about him saying how much stronger we will be at end of tonight- there's another big signing in there.

The Brendometer is on full scale Saint Brendan for me btw … I don’t think many managers could have convinced the board to part with 11million.

3 wins in this new European format will pay Engles off itself :BR1:

So how do we expect the announcements to be made ?
One an hour or just a huge one at the end of the evening.

Brendan Rodgers this afternoon laughed off a question on potential homegrown player signings as he discussed deadline day business.

The Celtic manager insisted "a number of transactions" are going on behind the scenes at Parkhead on deadline day.

Celtic are expected to land Sheffield United defender Auston Trusty and Arne Engels from FC Augsburg before the window closes tonight.

Celtic have also been linked with Dundee standout performer Luke McCowan over the summer with the player on the radar of Brendan Rodgers.

McCowan would also help with homegrown player quotes in the Champions League should a deal come to fruition.

On Sky Sports, Rodgers was quizzed on the restrictions on signing foreign players as to ensure registration criteria is met for the Champions League.

Quizzed on the matter, Rodgers said: "It's always our intention anyway. Our homegrown players, the Scottish players are important for us, not just to put on a list but to have available for the squad to use.

"The homegrown side of things is always important to Celtic. Certainly, having homegrown players allows you to have the squad that you want rather than having to take players out because you don't have it."

The Celtic boss was then asked whether he could sign Scottish players in order to help with squad registration criteria.

But Rodgers chuckled as he responded with a not-so-subtle reference to McCowan rumours.

He said: "Ah, right, okay! I know what you're getting at now! But listen we just want good players, whether they're Scottish, Irish, whatever, we just good players
