Really wished we hadn't left so much so late in the window to be done with a huge game Sunday and just 3 weeks until we play our first CL game but still hoping (praying) we get what we need before Friday.

Big opportunity to create a buzz with a few big names in and a convincing win on Sunday. Let's get it!

 

This time yesterday nothing bar apparent interest in Engels and Bogusz.

Now Alex Valle looks a cert to join on loan. First Engels bid in and rejected (pretty standard id imagine). Interest in a quality winger although not looking likely but things change fast especially when the deadline is so close. Edoaurd linked.

I’ll take that for first 24 hours after weeks of absolute * all.

Only thing that worries me is that we have left it too late and if we don’t get our main targets we will have to settle for some randoms. Like Isaksen we enquire about and an hour later it’s almost dead in the water. Surely he’s not been on the radar for weeks/months and we leave it until a few days before only to be told to bolt.

 

Liverpool after Chiesa, have a feeling that's the end of Doak's time there with the crazy amount of forward depth they now have.

It'll be interesting to see if we revisit that after having our Isaksen enquiry rebuffed. Doak on loan with an option to buy or bought outright would be excellent.

 

Hopefully get Engels, Valle and Bogusz sorted soon.

Have a bit of fear with lack of CBs getting linked. Surely we don't think Scales is enough.

 

Aye, part of my would take Trusty and Bogusz....but hope we pull out better than both of them..

Engels and Valle would be good starts. That kinda level for the rest and we're laughing..

 

I think with 2 out we will see 1 in. Both Welsh and Nawrocki are pretty injury prone so I'm confident we get another.

 

Nobody thinks Valle is a good option? Surely. A player from the second division in Spain who seems to be on an above average wage and not deemed good enough to play one single game for Barcelona. Absolutely uninspiring. Classic Board play though.

 

He played a few games in pre season where he looked excellent, including against Real Madrid.

 

I’m as critical of the board as anyone but I’m struggling to see what’s wrong with getting Valle in (other than it being a straight loan).

Not getting a game for Barca is hardly a sign that he’s a bad player. They’re one of the biggest clubs in the world that none of our players would even get near playing for.

Grimaldo and Cucurella (two of the best left backs in Europe) came through at Barca and never got a game for their first team.

 

I don’t give much of a * if LB and CB are loans at this stage, just want them to be way better than Scales and Taylor
