Also the only deal that appeared to be somewhat advancing in Bogusz has now seemingly stalled.

    Why do we do this.

23rd August tomorrow and no LB and no CB even. Its insane.

If we sign Owen Beck for LB as well this argument that we had to wait is utter pish. Have a feeling it will be him as well.

No degree of confidence we're signing anyone at this point.

I can't believe so many posters read stuff on the media and take it as gospel, 100% true. Virtually no one on here has a * clue what's going on at Celtic Park. Some will say that's the problem with the board not being transparent but why should they, is that going to help us sign players most likely the opposite.

Frustrating as it is stuff will be happening in the background, it's the unknown of will it eventuate in acceptable incoming players that leaves a vacuum for wild stories from the media to grow legs.

I don't know either like most what is happening now and how it will end next week, but I do know that most of what is written in the media is regurgitated between themselves, with some of it even taken from forums like this.

Hoping that irrespective of all the positive / negative speculation at present we do come out of the window stronger and have a team that can do some great stuff this season in Europe.

When you say "confirmed" do you mean confirmed there's a story or that Diawara is a goer?

7 days left in the window, and we're no better off than we were at the end of last season, where, if we're being entirely honest, we peaked at the right time just as sevco imploded.

In fact, if MoR and / or kyogo leave, we will be considerably WORSE off than last season, as ive no confidence in Rodgers or the club to find or pay for adequate replacements.

    We're a * disgrace.

This * around is a sackable offence, for EVERYONE involved.

Theyve a week, * seven days, to get the finger out, or the support will have their * heads on pikes by the time the CL music rings out at paradise.

Unfortunately, me and you know, these last two points won't happen and the club knows it.

No one will get sacked over a shambles of a window, by their own design.
And they know many will buy and cheer on the UCL music and the side come mid September.

This is the same every window, a lot of noise and anger, they know they are running a risk, but they know a run of a few results specially against the Huns, will quieten enough of the support to see them through.

It's staggering a club our size and wealth have never paid £10m for a player, even the old Rangers done it a quarter of a century ago. We're scared to pay 8 figures for someone like O'Shea who would be an automatic starter, £9.5m is the highest we can go. We have to break that barrier sometime.

That Diawara from Lyon may be a "project" on paper but he looks like what I've wanted in the midfield for ages.

6ft 2, French, power, pace (in b4 the casual comment about him being black!)

Would take him on a loan to buy and at the minimum alongside another CM for good money. That along with Bogusz to play across the front, CB and LB and I'd be content till January. Assuming Kyogo stays - if not we need another striker.

    It is.

We were paying £6m in the late 90s for players. We sanctioned £5m for an unknown Brazilian in Scheidt who we'd only watched on video. That'd be double figures now in modern cash.

    Perhaps we have * PTSD.

Where LB is concerned, maybe we've been trying to get someone better and Beck is our fallback option if that doesn't come to fruition. That seems quite plausible to me.

I dont entirely disagree... But there is something different this time.

More and more fans, ex board humpers and happy clappers, are starting to come around to the reality of how we are run.

Theres alot if palpable anger from the support. Its far from the divided support that a half and half split, defending Lennons shower offer, defending Rodgers budget being reallocated behind his back, defending the 10iar debacle with covid blame, accusing the GB of rabble rousing and entitlement etc.

Most fans have woken up. Even posters on here who were dyed in the wool "we are the best run club in the UK" users are now asking * is going on.

Theyll have alot more to worry about than plastic sharks and GB protests.
Theyre gonna get from all angles.

Even the smsm is piling on, with ex players, usually in the "everything is fine" camp are starting to write opinion pieces in the rags asking the same questions we are.

This is gonna blow up in their faces big time. Hopefully.

The last agm they were indignant, they wont get away with pointing to bank balance and making tired excuses about difficult markets, not with the money we have. No Sevco jokes are gonna placate the usually docile and compliant, not when they themselves are starting to worry about how we are run.

Theres never been a more united support imo. Its unfortunate that its united behind its hatred of the board, but its united all the same.

Its now, quite literally a case of US vs Them. And that should scare the * * out of them. If it doesnt, then theyre more incompetent that we ever imagined.

Rankers did it back then as they had a blank cheque because of Masterton, and later on they went bust.

Yeah they're a real good example of what we should have done :38:
