Exactly. By the looks of it we'll be finishing the window worse-off instead of stronger. And this at a time when, financially, the club has never had it so good and during a period of dominance on the field that is unsurpassed. I just do not get what the board are about. I can only assume they think the squad is good enough already to remain on top domestically and see no reason to spend larger amounts of money on better players which(in their eyes at least) will achieve virtually the same results as the squad as it now stands. I personally hate that kind of attitude, the club should always strive to be the best it can be without putting itself in financial jeopardy. Now even if we do strengthen to the best of our ability we still won't be winning the CL, the financial gulf created by the EPL and Billionaire foreign owners has took that away from us, but we could at least compete again and stop the embarrassing results whilst taking a few scalps along the way. Also in the Europa and conference leagues we should certainly be capable of going deep into those competitions. After all it wasn't that long ago that a sevco team we were way better than got to the final and almost won it in extra-time. That's what we should be aiming for anyway but until the board drop this "that'll do" attitude they seem stuck with then it just won't be happening.

Mikey is the 3rd choice striker. I'd argue he's better than Oh, although they are different players.

Still plenty of time till the window shuts. We'll sign more players apart from Idah. Problem is, we'll probably lose O'Riley. That's when we'll become worse.

The Riley part is likely true. The rest is ludicrous.

 

To be fair, you’re clutching if you believe we are weaker when Idah comes in.

Oh never played from January. We have strengthened the goalkeepers. We are much better in that department than we were at the end of the season. Schmeichal is better than Hart and Sinisalo is exactly the sort of Goalkeeper we need to learn from Schmeichal and be the long term option. Which Siegrist wasn’t.

We may be down in terms of numbers but we need to be. Our squad was bloated with utter * and Oh was part of that.

 

If we sign Idah we have stood still since the end of last season, absolutely no way are we better off. Regardless, this transfer window so far has been a disgrace given our financial position.

 

Well the driveways aren't going to heat themselves so I don't know what people are expecting.

 

How is it clutching if idah comes in? Literally a player we had last year, along with Bernardo.
While we've lost what was our third choice striker.

Hart for Kasper and Seigrist for sinsalo.
Like for like and jury out out on the backup keepers.

Quite literally, we are players less than last season.
