Totally agree the subs did change the game for them and we need better quality coming off the bench and the poor summer transfer window is going to cost us if we don't do something in this transfer window.

That's what I'd like and think it's what we need. As well as trimming as much as we can..

 

Striker & Right winger are essential this window.
Goalkeeper, Left Back and Right Back are all ideal, but probably will wait till summer.
We'll buy a centre mid as well

 

We already have Holm.

 

Abada back now I don’t think right wing is as urgent as a LB and a ST

 

I'd say we want an attacker that can be striker/ winger, Kyogo not being in the Japan squad helps us there but we are lacking the depth across the front.

We need a left back, Bernabei is not up to it that's proven, RB I'm not worried about, AJ hasn't been at his best but a rest will be good for him and Ralston is a good backup.

GK needs planned as we need that by the summer so this or early next window,.I'd suspect tahts a summer job.

CB, we don't need, we are covered there, if Lagerbielke is sold though we would need to replace him.

Midfield I don't think we need. Cal, Reo, MoR, Bernardo, Iwata and Turnbull is well equipped as long as we keep the balance, add Holm in as well as he looked good early on. Get a proper DM in the summer for Europe.

Sales are important, there's a lot to go to trim the squad down and free the space, we should be leaving opportunities for youth to step up too, frame did great against Feyanoord and hasn't been back in since.

 

Any word on Turnbull as he is now eligible to sign a pre-contract deal with anyone.

 

We can only pray. Hopefully gone within the next couple of weeks.

 

I think clubs will come in for him, most will be happy to wait until the summer though.

 

Think he will go this window for a fee. Won’t lose him for nothing I thought he might of got offered a new deal scores goals when he plays but does slow the play down

 

I don't see us buying much this window. Like it or not when they're fit we've got a lot of players to cover every position other than LB and striker (especially with Oh away). And it's always hard to find players and clubs willing to do deals in January (unless it's Japan or S Korea).

 

Wouldn't surprise me to see Norwich come back in for him this window. They're properly struggling in the championship this season and they will probably to look to get more creative players for the midfield.

For a small fee, probably less than £1m... they'll be back in for him. #ITK

 

He was offered a new deal mate. Didn't sign it.

 

We will need to look at homegrown players to sign. Turnbull will be away, Forrest is done and needs to head for the exit. I’d look at the young boy Lennon Miller at Motherwell. Been injured for some time now, but he was outstanding at the start of the season. Only 17 as well.

 

He might get a better move than that. Watching Sunderland vs Preston the now and the role Pritchard is playing for Sunderland would suit him. Two physical, energetic centre mids playing a double pivot and he’s left in a free role primarily in space to get shots off as a 10.

I think one of the teams going for the play offs would take him as a goalscoring midfielder. I think if we could get £750k or so would just take it.

 

MJ likely be away too.

 

Get first team quality in and get the likes of Yang and Holm out on loan to the likes of Hibs or the sheep where they'll get game time every week in our league..

Turnbull is good for a goal and an ok player, but his times up.....we can get much better..

In no particular order

A keeper to bed in alongside Hart for 6 months
A left back with quality, athleticism and physicality
A centre half who's quick, strong on the deck and in the air...who can play out from the back
A box to box type who's mobile and creative
A quick winger who has guile and the ability to commit defenders/go by them with ease
A striker who can finish and link the play

That's about 6 I think we need to come in, realistically at least 4 starters. Let's hope we get them..

 

£28.5m spent there over the next 2 windows but we are likely to make about £35m from two sales in the next two transfer windows in Abada and O'Riley.
