The fact we haven’t managed to at least bring back at least one of the loan signings from last season at this stage is laughable.

Our opener is at home. I suggest everyone show up and rip the * out of the board with the nastiest songs and banners one can think off. In more than a full month of the window, the board have managed a grand total of two signings, one of which is a free transfer.

Trying to be calm about it. Could all look very different in 4 weeks but hard not to look at the failures of the past.

Can you picture it on Sunday during the game kyogo gets injured then Taylor as well and we have no * back ups and with millions in the bank this board needs to get to * pronto and no outfield players signed and no * ambition.

Something happens to Kyogo then we end up paying over the odds for Idah and rushing to get the first left back available if Taylor is out.
I would actually say the best we can do now is a passable window as everyone will be in too late.

Middlesbrough have reportedly submitted a bid worth ''up to £5m'' for Tommy Conway. I'm probably in the minority, but I'd rather we signed Conway over Idah.

So no matter who we sign he’ll be at least 2 weeks from being ready to play. I cannot believe this * board!!! if it doesn’t go well on Sunday there will be a riot.

Idah 'missed flight' on Norwich preseason.
Not a good sign for them or for us - becoming a bigger and bigger risk

Here’s a strange one. We are looking/waiting for quality this summer. Yet, as it stands, our largest signing will be Bernardo for c £1M less than what we paid for Nawrocki last summer when we were “project” signing.

    Go figure.

    Bernardo + Schmeichel + Sinisalo = £4.4 out
    Oh = £4.5 in

    Net spend = * all
    Beyond farcical now.

£4.5m for Oh seems too good to be true. Per transfermarkt, we got €2.7m which equals to £2.27m. Seems far more plausible.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the board. They care more about maximizing profits rather than winning football matches. Just saying that the reported figure for Oh was probably inaccurate.

We sit on tons of money and our net spending is about £200k.

    (all numbers are from transfermarkt)

    in
    Sinisalo £1.01m
    Bernardo £3.4m

    total: £4.41m

    out
    Oh £2.27m
    Haksa £1.69m
    Vata £237k

    total: £4.2m

Not to mention, we are likely to earn even more money from the O'Riley sale and the Frimpong sell-on clause.

We have brought in just under £4m in transfer fees, so far.

We will have spent just over £4m in transfer fees when Bernardo has been confirmed.

More business to do, both incomings and outgoings. Players like Johnston, Lawal, Lagerbielke and Kobayashi need moved on as soon as possible.

All this fuckn about leaves us wide open to our targets getting signed by other clubs, it's poor form.
Wonder what was holding things up ? because the deal was supposedly done a Couple of weeks back
However if he's actually just about to sign I'm glad, he's a very good player who is only gonna get better

Net spend can and should be around +£30M (inc wages)
That's should hold true even with MoR cash incoming.
First team should have 4-5 new players better than our current, fully fit, starting 11.
    It's that simple.
Anything less is underinvestment and neglect.

Champions league gonna be a right laugh for us.

Could Celtic surprise us with a few top top signings over and above Bernardo and Idah? Perhaps but I think if bookies were taking bets its what would be known as a long shot.

If we sell O’Riley for over £20m we will not have a net spend of £30m.

We were always looking at a big income from player trading this summer given how O’Riley done last year and the likes of Hatate being here for 2.5 seasons. I actually don’t care if we have a net spend or not.

What I do care about though is being in a position where the season is starting and we still have Scales and Taylor as first team starters. Only having one striker too is ridiculous. If we are waiting on Idah the third choice Rodgers has spoke of should be in the door to provide cover.

Our first game is Killie at home, we have struggled against them all last season until he last game where we changed it up with a physical presence that could come of the front and now we go into that game with no physical striker option. Don’t get me wrong Kyogo has looked sharp but if that isn’t working we have no plan B.

Back on the left back in particular we should have had that sorted right after the goalkeeper. It has been a known issue for seasons now. Taylor isn’t a Rodgers type full back and is routinely targeted week in week out. An upgrade there has been needed, surely a loan of Bueno can’t have been a high up the list target there?

I am realistic that we won’t have done all our business before the season starts but realistically we have filled one of around 5 or 6 problem positions out and are still carrying a lot of deadwood. On the later that can be more problematic as you need to have someone wanting them but there are plenty of clubs out there are scrambling for players.

Agree it won't happen, but it absolutely should.
The board have actually managed to get the fans thinking about money and being cautious - it's not our concern.
