Rodgers is a top class manager, which I’ve personally always maintained. I know he has his critics.

Not many managers go undefeated against Rangers, and pick up respectable results against Atletico and Feyenoord in Europe whilst playing a progressive style, with the personnel he had available last year.

His man management and handing of the media toward the end of the season was different class.

Just like the season before he left the first time, back him properly with a few quality additions, and he will take this team up a level.

The evidence is there from his two spells here, and throughout his career.

It’s good to see we’re linked with the right positions. I’m hoping Rodgers will be working overtime now when he’s back having meetings etc with potential new signings and can bring in the players he wants in. 5 weeks basically to bring in 5 signinngs I’d say.
Bernardo should be 100% done next week but hopefully another one aswell

Good point about Rodgers being back from the US and meeting up with potential signings face to face. Think that could be a massive advantage in trying to get things moving!

Going out and having a perfect pre season while seeing how poor Rangers appear to be is going to have a negative affect on him regarding recruitment when they should turn round and say if we back him this could take us to the next level.

It's mental that we even need to think like this as fans. But also completely get where you're coming from as I wouldn't rule it out with that lot.

    But surely not..

We know with 5 quality additions brendan could take this team to the next level but pre season will have the board thinking we can win the league and keep the SPFL competitive this season and they will spend the square root of * all! Not point wasting the next month with F5!

He’s great at things like that I think. Big difference with a zoom call to coming in getting a meal and a tour around the stadium and trophy room and going through the goal for next few seasons. Surely players linked will be excited looking at our style of play lately. Hopefully we have a big few weeks

You wouldn't know if you were proved right the amount of times you've been proved embarrassingly wrong fs.

All that could be right but really, one look at the upper body and the tan is all it will take.

I'll think like that until they show me otherwise tbh.

As said in the other thread, August will be the decider. He needs backed, or he won't stay. Again.

I think after Paolo Bernardo, we’ll sign a left back and Idah or another striker, and that’s it. Or we’ll replace anyone else important that we lose, eg O’Reilly.

More than enough to win the league but would love another defensive mid and centre back to help us push on in Europe.

Yep, if that display won't convince them nothing well.

Rodgers is an elite manager who doesn't quite have the tools to do what he wants yet. Not having overlapping fullbacks affected him big time last year.

Get a LB, CB and a ST in (at minimum, I'd like a winger and another CM as well) and we're laughing.
