* shambles ,need about 5 players ready to walk into the first team before any of the top players are sold ,squad is full of * nowhere near good enough .whats the point of waiting until september to get * off that * aint getting resolved before that .the board will have its profits though thats been the only goal for the past 20 years

 

2 or 3 for every position is well and good, but it's more about fundamentally improving the first choice players in the team, not right sizing the squad.

We need to fill from the top by recruiting better than our current best option in key positions and then everything else drops out.

• #3 - a much, much better than Taylor - Taylor becomes back up, develop young player for 3rd choice
• #6 far better DM than Iwata/McGregor - CalMac moves forward, Iwata and CalMac back ups for DM position
• #10/MoR replacement - Either get top doller and spend £10M on replacement for MoR or keep him, Bernardo as back up untils he's ready
• Wingers as good as Jota and peak Abada - Palma and Maeda/Kuhn are back ups, ditch the rest
• #9 as good or better than Kyogo (ie not Idah) - Kyogo competes for #1 slot (or even plays together with new striker and we stop obsessively playing 2 mediocre wingers), Maeda, younger player is back up
• CB as good as and to partner with CCV - Nawrocki, Scales and Lagerbielke/Welsh are back ups

 

Still plenty of time for signings guys! Just relax. Any new players can hit the ground running it's simple.

 

We must see some movement this week. Wish I shared other peoples optimism on here that we will get deals done but it genuinely is concerning regarding the left back position.

 

I agree with most of that; but I can't agree about Maeda or Idah.

 

I think that we will make signings as well, the problem though is that the club never learns and do the business way, way to late. Even if we had qualifiers we all know the situation would be exactly the same. The Celtic strategy have cost us several Champions leagues. The new players need a good pre season to get going for the league start, otherwise we risk dropping points in the first few games, which we tend to do because we have new players who have no idea how we play as they where bought to late in the window.

The only reason they do this is because the price drop slightly the longer you wait. That is not our problem as fans if the club save 1,5 million in total for risking dropping points.

 

Agree, but I wouldn't mind keeping Taylor for another year until we're sure Anderson is ready

 

first CL group game is 8 weeks tomorrow

 

Can't understand how Ange was able to get signings lined up before the window opens and as soon he leaves it's back to business as usual.

This will be the last season for a while where we will get away with it due to no CL qualifiers and homeless zombies.

I'm sure we will get a few more in, but we really do need to start moving quicker in transfer windows in the future.

This time last year i was preaching patience, but we’re now less than 2 weeks away from our season opener.

We have one left back who is better suited to being a back up.

We have one striker.

Liam Scales is a starting CB for us.

We’re weaker than we were last season when we were run far closer than we needed to be. We’re going to sell our best midfielder in the next few weeks.

I really don’t think it’s unjustified panic at the moment. We are * in our dealings.

 

Before window closes we need at a bare minimum

Centre mid (2 if matt leaves)
Pacey winger
2 x CF

That's 7 players in 39 days signed whilst still trying to move about 10 out!

Ange left when a certain someone returned, the same guy who is actively slow and * at incomings.

Can't wait for next year, when we will have the excuse of having to wait to see what European competition we may be in, before making any signings.

The lack of tangible links to LBs is frightening.. really planning to go into season again with only Taylor.

 

Ange press conference telling people they would be surprised how long he would be at Celtic for.

Next press conference he's warning fans not to get too attached to players.

We win the league and we play the huns he rests a few players and we get skelped. Funny that the positions he rested could be seen as our weakest positions. It was a clear message to the board by saying are we strong enough??

Ange leave us for Spurs.

Press conference when asked about CL and he states no point just reaching it but you need to try compete or improve otherwise pointless. Now Ange's only experience of this is with Celtic so again another message.

Stevie Wonder can see from the above things have went down hill since fuckfacewell come back. Anyone who can't is genuinely needing to take off the green specs.

Edit: before anyone says anything what do you disagree with from the above? What did I say was wrong or how else do you read what happened above as all above did happen.

Even taking into account Ange's other poorer windows, he still had a success rate with players of over 70%.
