We're not getting a striker to replace Kyogo as number one.

I think people are under the impression we're going to sign players that push out a player who is part of the spine. We're not.

 

At the very least, Shankland offers something completely different to kyogo and would actually provide some aerial threat.

Take for 3-4m.

 

Shankland.. * me the board has done a wonderful job in lowering alot of our supports aspirations.. our squad is so * bad people want this * to come into be our #1 striker while Kyogo is away... he never was, has or ever will be fit to wear a Celtic Jersey..

 

I would be appalled if we signed Shankland for £4-5 million. Can't see it happening. Miovski would be a better option at that price- maybe that's the plan. Make us think we might sign Shankland only to make a move to Miovski as we all breathe a sigh of relief.

 

Exactly, some maddies about, my mate keeps saying need a new lb and get Taylor out, get ralston out, new rb blah blah blah. Do we think we're fkn Man City. Ffs, he couldn't even tell me City's back up lb, and they play cb at rb if walker is out. People need to get the head out their archies.

Shankland would be our top scorer every year for the next 3 years or so if he was here. He's fkn lethal, would he cut it in CL? Probably not, but he's already scored a few in Europe against half decent opposition. Same goes for Miovski but talk of around £6m might be too much.

I know it's said as a joke, but I swear I wouldn't even say no to Van Veen as backup, guy is silky as and can finish.

As said unless Kyogo is away and we're going to spend wads on someone people will need to calm down.

 

Same thing was said about Scott McDonald, Barry Robson, etc.

 

Shankland wouldn't want to come as backup here, when Rangers would give him the No. 1. spot. Van Veen maybe.

 

Rangers looking at getting deals done early , and no doubt we will wait to the last few days to get ours done , makes you miss ange more and more !

yeah we had maeda , hatate revealed before the window opens , no reason we shouldn’t still be doing that , I just feel that we are going to wait to see if players come available and then get dross last few days ,

People turning their nose up At shankland when Kyogo has been decent at best this season need to realise that the way we play would suit shankland better than kyogo

 

Realistically, Shankland could look forward to playing in a competitive Europa League team and choose that.

 

Aye its easier to announce from J and K league at this time of year as their seasons have ended..

Would be nice to do our business early but no point panicking or slating our business at this stage.. it's a big window but as long as we add what we need I don't care when in the window we do it..

After the break we return to home games v Buckie Thistle in the Cup and then Ross County at home a week later in the league, so we have a bit of leeway..

On Shankland, think most would take him.. but can't see that one happening for various reasons.

 

I just want us to sign * that will win us the league.

We * this window and we lose the league, Lawwell has form for * us when it matters like in WGS January window and they went on to do 3 in a row and gave them a life line.

 

The CL money is too great to loose. The board better not * this up and give them a lifeline.

 

Can't see Shankland coming to Celtic. Main reason being he's a stauch hun *.
