He vanished for a few days after the news on Schmeichel and Sinisalo broke, he'll vanish again after Bernardo signs.

Please, please, please sign a LB and CM Celtic as I honestly couldn't cope watching Taylor and Scales for another season.

At the moment we only have one striker.

That's a bit concerning. Great to have the GK positions sorted but I'm praying we have another few to come completely out of the blue soon.

Idah playing today would suggest that's nowhere near concluding.

After the news of us spending 1 million finally? We are miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles and miles away from where we need to be even after the 2 GK's.

You away back on that yellow bus with your pal Dutch. Uncle Peter is wondering where you are as he needs someone to wipe his * for him .

If we sell MOR and don’t use the money to improve the squad with the huge cash surplus in the bank serious questions need to be asked.

I’m encouraged this week by the GK situation but the penny pinching over idah and Bernardo makes me think that we’re going to do our business the same as before.

We need Bernardo, schemeichel and idah just to tread water. If MOR goes we still need a few more to make sure we’re not going backwards.

We’re not in the situation 2 years ago where Jota and CCV were the loan to buy signings we wanted - Idah and Bernardo are nowhere near that level

We're also getting 30% of whatever Frimpong goes for. I wonder if we are waiting to see how that pans out?

It would pay for Idah alone. But I wouldn't put it past the board.

    Yep.

The initial excitement of actually being linked with players has died down for me as the reality of what we still need to do is clear.

If we only have one striker at the club going into the fiest game of the season that's just negligence again. Same as only having 1 LB potentially also.

The link of players that seemed promising at times, guys like Livakovic and Kvistgardeen at £8m sort of fees had the opposite effect on me, because it was the same guys as last year and January that we tried with and failed to.

Hopefully it was more quick checks to see if deals were possible swiftly moving on instead, and annoyingly 1 signing this summer with a couple sagas rumbling on looking likely, thats swift for us.

But @Officer Doofy is correct, Idah and Bernardo permanently is good and I want it. But it’s not adding to what we had last year.

The keeper situation was the main concern for me, and with a young promising guy coming in and a veteran to cover the gap that Hart had in the squad experience wise as well. We seem to be moving in a more direct manner, rather than the haphazard approach we seen last summer

In addition Kyogo has this shoulder issue that could, potentially cause him to miss some more games.

I genuinely don't understand why the people defending the board are crowing about this. I don't know if we will make the signings we need this summer; but if the window closed today, it would be a disastrous window. We've basically replaced Hart and, from what I gather, upgraded our reserve goalkeeper. If we finally get the Idah and Bernardo deals over the line, then we'll be back to where we were last season. We'll be back to the strength of the team that just got over the line in the league and won a cup final that was very 50/50 and could have gone either way.

Except even that is too kind to the board; because it assumes that the Huns will stand still and that we won't sell MOR, neither of which is true.

Even the Schmeichel signing worries me TBH. It's a good signing and I'm not complaining; but it's clearly someone Brendan knows personally. Signings like Schmeichel and (hopefully) Idah paradoxically increase my concern at our recent inability to target players. In fact, we're about to sell our last good signing identified by the scouting team rather than directly identified by Ange or Brendan.

So there's absolutely no grounds for anyone defending the board to be crowing at the moment. There's still plenty of time for the club to turn it round and I'm not saying we won't do that; but as it stands here and now, it's a 4th terrible window in a row.

Obviously I hope they do turn it round.

I will not praise The Board in any way until We have fully strengthened from last season, the signings of Schmeichel and Sinisalo I am happy with but they were the bare minimum required to replace Hart and Siegrist, Idah will probably be Oh's replacement which means We will need another striker to compete for 3rd spot and if Bernardo is O'Riley's replacement, that will not improve us from last season, Bernardo is an average player with little glimpses and nowhere near the quality of O'Riley which means We will need another first team quality CM, adding to that a first team quality left sided CB, LB, RW, Very much doubt that We will bring all of that in this window, wouldn't be surprised if We end up with Sinisalo,Schmeichel,Idah,Bernardo and a few last minute projects on loan, would be typical Celtic.
