Don’t expect us to do much or any business before the Euros finishes.

We are all still in a bit of a high from last season league and cup glories and I just hope the feckers on the board don't let us all down again by their penny pinching antics

I would imagine similar unless we get Bernardo in early doors. Norwich new manager wants to run the rule over Idah before sanctioning a move so that one won't happen for a while and the other concrete interest in Scott McKenna will probably see him go to the Euros and then evaluate his options. We might have a keeper lined up and you would think that is very much a priority right now.

I would think most players will not commit to anything till after the euros shop window is over and they see what offers they get.
Trying not to get my hopes up as its not our first window but surely to * 150 mill in the bank and BR in charge we will sign some quality. There must be a upgrade out there someplace that we can afford.:43:

The chances of us signing anyone playing in the Euros is slim to * none so I dont see why we shouldn't be doing business ASAP.. just another excuse

There had never publicly been an admittance to * up though.

Only thing I can cling onto.

That's what I said last week. 1 or 2 players if yer lucky you would be linked with a potential of signing

I've absolutely no expectation when it comes to us signing players, absolutely none. Same board as last year and the same halfwits pulling the strings. Happy to stay ahead of der hun and playing in Europe is just a money making bonus. Every summer I think this year will be different and if anything it gets worse..

I'd hope after last years fiasco it will be better but I don't expect anything drastic to change.. but this "ahh sure the window isn't open" "sure we just won the double" and worst of all "Waiting till after the Euros" is just bollix, excuses.. Celtic should proactive 24/7 365 days of the year in trying to secure better players..

Said it many times before, the clubs transfer strategy needs to be changed and drastically, will it happen this summer ? Unlikely but sure ya never know

Read through the thread again, it's been explained several times why the Euro's affects our targets even if it's not players directly involved with them.

There will be movement in the market after the Euros, which will see some players out of favour in their respective clubs. That's the market we're shopping in.

Unfortunately, I don't trust our recruitment team or manager to identify and recruit targets to make us a stronger team come start of next season. Hope to be wrong though.

We've known we need a LB for upwards of a year, GK for 6 months.. there's really no excuses.

Those time scales are being extremely kind.

Left back is going on 3 years now.

GK is 2 years if the club had any sense in preparing for an aging Hart to depart.
His retirement, albeit came suddenly, isn't a surprise considering his age.

Clubs a disaster at recruitment and forward thinking

Window open tomorrow and we still don't really know what our recruitment structure/strategy is..

Is Mark Cooper our main scout now?

We are getting rumours that we are going to receive crazy fees for our players who aren't in our plans, at the minute.

    Johnston- £6m(£6m profit)
    Oh- £4m (£1.5m profit)
    Haksabanovic- £2m(£500k profit)

Would have taken less than £4m for all 3 of them in January and it looks like we could be in line to make nearly 3 times that this window. Surely, puts us in the driving seat to really spend top money on experienced additions to the squad. Players who are thriving in leagues comparable to our own.

It should but it doesn't. I think it just opens space in the squad. Now we have 1 striker so there is room for another. You've sold two wingers, you can have another and another after that if you get 2 wingers out on loan.
