Really want to hope for something special this window.

You know, financially best we've ever been, new CL format, probably getting decent fees for the likes of O'Riley and then sell ons for other ex players. Everything is lining up nicely for Celtic to go and make next season special.

But is the hope that kills you.

Wouldn't be surprised if we actually turn out a summer transfer window, £25mill in profit

The current trading profit from last season is sitting at £25m (I know fees are spread over certain amount or years)

    Received £45m
    Spent £20m

Now it would make really good sense to try and spend that for the P&L and potentially balance sheet due to Corp tax before 30th June like we did in ange first full season!

I would imagine our option on Bernardo has to be triggered by then, the options usually have an expiry. I remember Édouard signing in June. I'd imagine a couple have probably been lined up already.

hope so mate, just been let down too many times by our board when it comes to recruitment its better to be glass half empty and get a nice surprise than expect us to move swiftly and spend as readily as we need to and be *disappointed*

It would make sense am sure @Foley1888 would agree to try and get 3 deals over line before year end.

When you look at next season the turnover will be spectacular

    £8m USA tour
    £49m UCL minimum
£7m additional sponsorship from magners, Adidas and dafabet for brand exposure.
    £6m frimpong sell on
    £26m ST sales.
    % of replica kit sales
    Player sales

    That's just off top head!

Didn't play much for them last year. Don't really know much about him to be honest.

I would agree with this, I was very surprised we sold Jota end of last financial year and never let it go through after 1st of July.

In terms of the end of this year, the real unknown is how much we have paid of the Barrowfield project which didn’t show considerably in the interim accounts but the foundations and structure have gone up since then so you would guess a decent chunk of project costs will be there to help reduce tax.

The thing that needs to be considered is some clubs might want to buy our player before the end of June to do the same or if we are buying they may want the sale to help if they are in a tricky position with FFP/FSR.

A goalkeeper who many of us in here were wanting but not sure there was ever a credible link to him. Vladen Kovacevic from Rakow, is close to joining Sporting for £5m package.

Fotis Ionnidis too. Liked the look of him when we were linked.

We openly got rid of Lawell Jnr and his sidekick.

But haven't announced any succession planning or personnel.

Has there been any change to our scouting amd recruitment set up, is there likely to be??

We've had it wrong for years, yet we're continuing to sleep walk in to another window.

Players will be bought, but how we're arriving to them is key. I have no faith that the power breakers will do the tight thing.

Time will tell. But we need a at least 3 in before the players return.

Really hope you are right. Be great to get our business done early with signings to improve the first 11.

Let's be honest we say this every year.

We will never have all our business done by then.

Noticed today the Huns DoF is back from a transfer summit thing in Mexico. Wonder if we had anyone attending...probably not.

We desperately need to sort the background situation. I'm more concerned there's been no updates with regards to that than anything else.

No news at all on new head of recruitment etc. Its *.

Last year had the potential to be the best window in a long team. It was the most excited we’d been for ages and had come off the back of a couple of CL qualifications and a big sale. Managers comp and replaced him with a manager who was only coming back apparently if we were ready to push the boat out.

    Didn’t happen.

This window for me will be and has the feel of one of the quietest for a long time. Can’t really see much movement for us. Bring in a GK and the 2 loans boys plus a couple of project types at LB and maybe CF. Hart and O’Riley and some deadwood out. That’ll be about it IMO.
