That’s been *. If you can’t seen the issue with having all these family connections in positions at Celtic, then more fool you I guess. We are lazy when it comes to scouting and recruitment, that clearly goes for both players and staff. Unless you miraculously think that Lawwell Jnr, Desmond Jnr and Strachan Jnr have all been the best qualified and it’s just a coincidence they are all here at the same time?

We are a * laughing stock the way we conduct our business.

Just when we thought it was different under Ange. Back to reality.

    "senior" scout.
So that's a senior scout to add to the head of recruitment, head of first team scouts and head of Scouting Operations at the club.

Two of which are sons of other staff at the club.

Anyone get the feeling we've got plenty of middle management doing absolutely * all and no actual staff doing the * job?

Just over 36 hours to go. Only link we have is to a dud that will make the forward line worse, out number 1 CB crocked and not a sniff of a LB.

These next 36 hours need to be the greatest in Celtics transfer window history.

    I won't hold my breath.

Would be better of with Alec mcleish's son as a scout

This is it in a nutshell. It´s not complicated. Throw in record uptake in season tickets for good measure.

What the board´s line of reasoning is behind the shambles that´s ongoing is anyone´s guess.
The bottom line is that DD and the rest doesn´t have to take any notice whatsoever in regards to sentiment within the fanbase. They know fine well that it´s business as usual for the foreseeable.

It´s not going to change anytime soon. On the contrary, the fact that the leadership is now made up (at least to some extent) of family relations tells me that the current modus operandi will be the way forward for a number of years.

Desmond is a successful businessman. I can´t imagine he would ever consider running any other enterprise in this way. Which leads me to wonder if he is just lazy, or is losing interest, or both?

    Either way, bleak times ahead.

6 of our next games are away. Including Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, St Mirren and the huns.

    And we've decided....aye we're sound. Let's do this.

    Words fail me.

The big question for me is what can we do about it? It's quite clear they couldn't give a * about the opinion of the fans and when they start to employ their own families then you know they're really taking the *.

The one time we brought someone in from outside the "circle" we got Dom McKay.

Interestingly he signed us the likes of Giakoumakis and Josip along with Kyogo.
    Ready made players.

Unfortunately the story seems to be that two of them had "low" release fees attached and the rest of the board didn't like it. So they got rid of him.

Some will still tell you it's because he was a basket case and hard to work with/Deal with in negotiations. But they forget that it's all coming from the rest of the board who are a product of the likes of Lawwell and Desmond's

Protest. Is anyone on the forum heavily involved in the Green Brigade? I have some ideas they could implement.

Feels like mass protests/boycott is the only solution now.

No harm to the boy but Idah should be nowhere near the club. He isn't any more of an option than Vata who can't be happy at us bringing him in and potentially pushing him further down the line.

We are crying out for a marquee signing to lift the side and the fans.

If he turns out to be a wonder kid then fine, but stats doesn't look like it will be.

Loans at this stage should only be top 5 league players that aren't getting a game, but have proven track record - aka Craig Bellamy, Robbie Keane.
We sign a Norwich reject who's scored 1 goal every 10 games worth south of £3M.

Worse than that, if we signed the 4 or 5 players Rangers have or will sign, we'd probably be happy?
If they bring in Shankland and/or Miovski too and they tear it up and win next old firm game, I don't even want to think about the fans reaction.
    It's time for change.

If Rodgers walked away after this window and outed the board as liars, I’d forgive him for walking out the first time.

We need something massive to oust Lawwelism.

We can’t keep going on like this. It’s killing the fanbase.

The non-disclosures will prevent him, but see be honest, if he leaves anywhere between now and July, we all know why.

    Agreed.

Actually, all he would need to say is “Contractually I can’t say anything”.

That would be more than enough.

I do wonder, for him to resign, would be owe the club anything financially?
Obviously we save not paying the next two years wage, but would he need to "buy out" hsi contract or something?

Just wondering if financially he's best to stay or not (not that he needs more money from wages etc, just if he be out of pocket to lay u
