The last January window we had this bad was the willo flood window.

We were a few points clear that January too, board refused to bring in the quality required (fletcher) and huns went on to win next 3 titles in a row.

Took me 2 seconds to see the golf shop job ended in 2014 and Celtic job started in 2019 - a 5 year gap. Then that the bottom on the job above the shop ended on a different set of info from the bottom of the Celtic one, so there's at least 1 other position in there.

Then on Wikipedia it listed him as manager/coach at 3 clubs in that time - nothing inspiring mind you, but still torches the horseshit about the shop...

Where on Wikipedia? His wiki mentions he played for Coventry and that's about it.

There appears to be very little known of him, beyond the fact he's an ex golf pro, our current scout and Gordon's wean. Another underqualified diddy being employed by the club thanks to nepotism.

 

In all seriousness though it surprises me that things like this still surprise people.

Couldn't give a * whose son he is, it's his performance that is what's important.

Has he identified good young players? Yes

Has he identified players of a level above the norm? Yes

Is every single player he finds going to become a star for us? No

I think people are too prone to just lumping in everything and anything to add to their list of grievances trying to justify their anger.

It's the overall signing policy that's lacking here. We've identified plenty of quality players, that's not the problem. It's committing to go over and above to signing these players that is holding us back, which is not down to one individual or even a few individuals. It's the whole club ethos, which will require everyone from Desmond down to agree to revise if it's not working. Blaming this guy is just panicking for the sake of it.
