What concerns me, is that it could be harder to get sides playing for something, to let their players go mid-season.

I'm more hopeful than optimistic, but will see where we are at the end of the window.

 

And we need them in very, very quickly due to the Asian Cup. We don’t move quickly unless Ange forces * to. January is a hard market, and cover for players going to the Asian Cup will want assurances of a place when they’re back, so feels more likely loans to cover that.


Good players don’t go on loan 1st January. The better ones go last days of the window to wait for summer while playing, after assessing the options for the rest of the window. Like when we got Keane.

 

Imperative we bring in a striker, we have none during the Asian Cup unless Oh and Kyogo are left out, and Maeda would be the next option, he'll be out then likely.

Unless they have some major game changing target, would like Miovski or Shankland, both already know the league , and in our team they'd score loads. Think the safer option is shankland, but maybe the more attractive option from a future fee prospect might be Miovski, but its still unclear with him, but he does look the part.

 

I dont know what the exitement is with Van Hooydonk is he really gonna be that good if he cant get in at Bologna? Agree Shankland+ 1 other foreign striker and a goalie and a tough CM

 

Definitely need a striker in to cover for the Asian Cup however, it's also important that we sort out the positions that have been neglected over the last few seasons - GK, box to box MF and, please *, a LB. I live in hope

 

Just get some quality in the door fucksake..

At absolute minimum, don't think there's any chance we get a RW/CM in January unless we offload some players.

At this point, I'm not adding Turnbull/Johnston as we're as well keeping them until the end of the season.

 

After that complete shitshow of a summer window I have zero confidence in the scouting management. The Board need to open up a bit and let Brendan bring in the quality he craves.

 

I think our number 1 priority is a LB and has been since KT left. Taylor is now targeted by every team we play as they know he is our weak spot and why the * is Taylor given the job to man mark the tallest guys from the opposition at corners I'll never know. Our other priorities are a new GK who isn't afraid to come off his line and claim the ball in the air, a tall CH who can defend corners and hopefully score from the numerous corners we get as, right now, I don't get the least bit excited when we win a corner. Also wouldn't mind a strong, athletic box to box CM and perhaps another CF. There you go - simples!

 

Badly need 3/4 players in, an athletic left-back, another goalscoring midfielder or winger and a striker for sure.

 

With a proper rework of our starting XI, we do need any midfielder signings. But I've no idea how much would a good LB even cost. I guess we'll see if Araujo is our target.

 

Left back is now critical for us I think … And for the love of Christ make sure they’re decent sized and can actually defend.

 

Should be significant investment this one now we know who’s chasing and the money at stake

Another failed transfer window and I wouldn't blame Rodgers if he walked.

Been chucked under a bus with this squad.

 

Hopefully get some more projects in.

 

Have a funny feeling most of our business will be loan players to see us through season in January

 

We are weak at both defending and attacking corners. People forget the amount of times Starfelt got his head to the ball defensively last season.

Maybe Nawrocki is the answer, but we need more physicality back there, or a Wanyama type player to help the defense.

Our mf can be lightweight defensively, hence people are mystified why Iwata isn't there.

 

I wouldn't mind a loan in to help make sure we win, as long as that isn't purely it.

 

Didn't Rodgers hint that the striker position will be covered with a loanee?
